Grant: Steele hasn't been able to practice since late January due to a stress fracture that will require surgery after season.
He's been playing through the pain in games, but his minutes have obviously been diminished.
Christopher Walsh covers Alabama football for BamaOnline, 247Sports, and is the author of 18 books.
Guy cannot stay healthy.
He is going to be a heck of a coach one day.
Don't believe I remember a player as injury prone as Steele. Except maybe Shea Cotton and he was just a big titty baby..
He had the stress fracture before the season and had surgery on it. Said the doctor probably could have done more at the time but it would have meant a longer recovery. They rolled the dice a little and it got worse.
They'll go back and fix it completely after the season is over.
Or his brother...
What a great family who has remained so loyal to UA hoops. They deserve better.
Hate it. Ron and Drew deserve a special place with our fans
He's a heck of a man already.
