I was at 92 seccg and 00 iron bowl. I can't say which was colder but I was 9 in 1992 and I still remember the cold.
The 2000 IB was my first attended IB and it was AUFUL! I would describe it as painfully frigid. That was torture!
Saturday will be the anti-2000 IB. Can't wait! Roll Tide!
I've never been to a more miserable game than the 2000 Iron Bowl. I had great seats, the crowd was into it even though we were horrible, and IIRC we got off to a good start (even if for just a few plays). Then I think Zow threw a pick and it was hell from then on out.
Anyways, I just remember my legs being completely frozen and being soaked to the bone. It was absolutely freezing, feet were numb. My friend and I left at halftime and left his dad at the game. We watched the 2nd half at some house and tried to sneak a few beers, we were 16, haha.
I really can't think of a close second as far as cold games go. The 2010 Iron Bowl was terrible before the game but it warmed up and wasn't bad during the game.
Ronald Reagan: Man is not free unless government is limited.
I'm assuming your talking about the iron bowl only?
Otherwise...fan from Canada days hi lol !
For some reason, the IB's in Tuscaloosa are always cold and the IB's in Auburn are rarely cold. '09 and '11 weren't bad at all, especially 2011. Hell it was warm last year in Auburn during the IB.
But yeah '00 was bad. Luckily I was covered during that game and out of the elements. Being in U2 was clutch that day.
'08 MSU was pretty bad when it was raining.
Sat right in the upper corner of the stadium where rain sleet and snow was swirling in at 20 mph for the Music City bowl vs Virginia Tech as we got hammered. Coldest game I have experienced
1982 Liberty bowl. I was 9 and my dad took me to see my favorite team play in Memphis. It was really cold!
I was there. It was awful. So friggin cold. We all huddled together in a big hug to stay warm
This was my first and only Iron Bowl I have ever been too... Froze my nuts off and we lost... Bad memory...
The 1976 Liberty Bowl without a doubt!
I was a student at UA at the time...I remember walking from my apt on Reed St in the sleet....No doubt it was the most miserable game I've been to.
2001 Music City bowl vs Virginia Tech. Easily the coldest Alabama game I can remember.Sit on top row in east stands, facing the west wind. Game started light misty rain, turned to slight, and by in of game light snow. Pants froze after getting wet below puncho. Funny side note: Commodore Stadium is the coldest I've ever been at a college football game, also the hottest I've ever been at a college football game. Alabama use to play Vandy the first or second game of the season(Metal bleaches the end of Aug or first of Sept). Anybody else?
08 Miss State was absolutely Terrible. The Wind never Ever let up. I can take cold but I can't take cold and wind.
93 SEC championship in Birmingham. I was 16 sitting in the endzone with wind blowing right in my face for 3 hours straight. Even worse, we had to watch that smug a$$ spurrier walk out of there with the title. Ugh.
