The new coach will be just like Tubbs in 2004 with this schedule if they run the table.
Just saw this was published...
Aug. 31 WASHINGTON STATE
Sept. 7 ARKANSAS STATE
Sept. 14 MISSISSIPPI STATE
Sept. 21 at LSU
Oct. 5 OLE MISS
Oct. 12 WESTERN CAROLINA
Oct. 19 at Texas A&M
Oct. 26 FLORIDA ATLANTIC
Nov. 2 at Arkansas
Nov. 9 at Tennessee
Nov. 16 GEORGIA
Nov. 30 ALABAMA
I'm having trouble trying to forecast their next season in my head. I've seen zero improvement over the course of the season. I think it could be a very similar situation if Chiz is retained. If they get a new coach they can only go up. The question is how much?
"Nobility is not a birth-right; it is defined by one's actions"
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
What a home schedule....wow at the weakness.
and people complain about our schedule...
I see they are taking one of their byes before us.
On Alabama: CeCe Jefferson - "It was a bunch of beautiful women..." Reggie Ragland - "oh the females of course..."
It would be hilarious if Gus Malzhan comes in there on September 7th and beats the barners!
I wear crimson glasses, but even if I take them off 6-6 may be best case. And that is a very interesting OOC schedule... Leach in his second year at WaZu and the Gus Bus could wreck them with their hurry up spread attacks. The four road games should be L's and then UGA and BAMA.
i see 3 wins
So there are two bye weeks next year?
6-6 at the very best and 4-8 at worst with a probable 5-7 year right in the middle
6-6 might get them into the BBVA Compass Bowl in Birmingham. I believe I'd try to make that game....
Should beat: Washington St., Arkansas St., Western Carolina, Florida Atlantic, at Arkansas.
Toss-up: Miss St., Ole Miss, at Tennessee.
Guaranteed Loss: at Texas A&M, at LSU, Georgia & Alabama.
Offense: Even if they make big strides they'll likely still be, at best, one dimensional.
QB - Even though everyone comes back, still a glaring weakness
RB - Tre Mason shouldn't have to complain about carries next year, other than him they've got no one.
FB - Prosch is all you could ask for in a FB
WR - Coates, Reed & Bray will be asked to fill the gap left by Emory Blake
TE - Uzomah has looked pretty good filling in for Lutz
OL - Should be an improved unit, not great, but pretty solid.
Defense: If they can figure it out upfront they should be improved, but LB is going to be a problem.
DL - No idea how they look/are so bad. You look at that D-Line on paper and they should be one of the best units in the country
LB - You think they're bad a linebacker this year? Wait until next year, they lose both Bates & Evans (2 year starters/contributors on the outside). They've go no one to step in.
DB - Holsey & Jones have looked good, White & Mincy are decent. They're pretty good at corner. Safety has been one of many inconsistent positions hard to believe that between Smith, McNeil, Whitehead & Florence they can't find 2 to get it done.
Best Case: 8-4
My Guess: 5-7 or 6-6
Worst Case: 2-10 or 3-9
