just looking over ESPN's recruiting page and pulled up all of Bama's commitments. These clowns have us with 20 current commitments and 0 five star athletes!!! What are these guys smoking??? I've told myself that I'm not going to place alot of stock in these "expert" opinions but I'm realizing ESPN's total bias against Bama(thought it was only Scout). I'm excited about this class and think it could end up as one of Saban's best after it's all said and done. Link provided.
Find out which top football recruits are committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide at TideNation.
OJ as a 4 star is all you need to know.
OJ, Henry, Allen and Foster.....wow!!!
I think they only have like 7 total 5star players in the 2013 class. So it's not as bad as it seems. But I do disagree with many of their evals on our recruits
Never Gets Old
No doubt their rankings are silly right now. But, they only have 9 total 5*s as of now. That number will change towards the end I believe where they typically have somewhere between 20-30. ??? Don't they normally upgrade the kids late in the cycles?
And T.J as a 4 star last year. I don't believe they really spend alot of time researching and scouting prospects. They feel obligated to have a recruiting site in order to be called " The Worldwide Leader".
The have Cole Mazza as the #3 LongSnapper... wtf?
If they update before signing day we'll end up with 3+ five stars. Well I'm not holding my breath with ESPN lol. Recruiting sure has changed over the past 35 years.
No. ESPN is always very stingy with awarding 5 star. Scout gives way to many.
They currently have us at #3 with an arrow pointing up, meaning momentum and a strong finish. Our highest ranked prospect is Henry at 26th!!!
I think you need to look at it a little closer. While Bama does not have any 5 stars on ESPN's rankings they have only handed out 9 up to this point. If 247 only had 9 then Bama would only have 1 on 247. Also, Bama has 5 players in the top 50 on ESPN and has 6 on 247. ESPN also has 9 players in the top 100 that are committed to Bama and 247 has 11.
So while people love to complain about ESPN there really isn't near the difference some on here complain about.
247 is the best IMO which is why I pay for this site but the rankings aren't that much different. Just something else for people to complain about.
Not complaining...to each their own when rating these prospects(just not a big fan of ESPN's Tom Luginbill when it comes to recruiting). Thats why I mentioned I don't go to these sites like I did many years ago. I agree that 247 is the best(outside Saban) and that's why I have been a member and will continue. By the way, we have 14 in ESPN's top 300 as of today with several more possibilities before signing day. There will be many changes on their site before signing day.
They have him running a 4.82 40 too hahahahaha
My mom and Paul "Bear" Bryant's mom had something in common....They didn't raise anything but a winner!
Are u serious??? I think they got their fingers got tied up on the computer keyboard. Watch his video footage...It speaks for itself.
On a bright note to the Recruiting sites...we leap frogged USC for the #1 spot on Rivals with the commitment of Foster.
Bias against Alabama? ESPN didn't know where these kids were going when they ranked them ... Their rankings are terrible but it has nothing to do with any bias towards Alabama
ESPN truly belongs to that 'grade of saw' thing.
for starters never go to ESpukN for anything reguarding recruiting, they suck
secondly, the only ratings (other than the GhostWatch List ofcourse) that matter , are those done by our staff.
