...for standing during the game.
Yep, you read that right.
The people behind us were complaining that they couldn't see so security asked us to sit down. She refused, saying that she paid just like everyone else and nowhere is it stated that you can't stand. They told her she could come peacefully or leave in cuffs. She told them they would have to do the latter.
By the way, all the complainers left during the rain delay. Clearly they're the loyal, supportive fans that need to be given deference. Absolutely ridiculous.
So they arrested her just for standing? No alcohol, no profanity towards the police, no threatening people around her and she was still arrested? That's interesting...
I smell a lawsuit
Welcome to Amerika comrade.
I think she just got her education paid for. Thanks to Mizzou
She was using some profanity but no more than anybody else (including the guy next to her, who was also standing but did comply eventually). Basically, they arrested her for defiance. But the very idea of trying to force someone to sit down when she's supporting her team at a football game is just nonsense to me.
As for a lawsuit, I don't think what they did was illegal. The police made what would probably qualify as a reasonable request and she refused. That doesn't mean it's not BS, just not illegal.

Missouri needs to learn about SEC football. Standing is allowed and encouraged.
Old man football
Standing is an expression of her support for the football team. Sounds like the police and MO are needlessly infringing on the first amendment.
Didn't see that..but did anyone see the mizzou guy with a busted nose? Blood was all over his face. Just curious if anyone knew or saw what happened?
I'm gonna guess she was ejected from the game rather than arrested.
Obviously, they're learning the hard way up there.
Some people bring a knife to a gun fight. Mark Richt brings a Super Soaker 2000.
I saw the bloodied Mizzou fan -- he took a shot from a Bama fan. State troopers swooped in there quick to bust that up.
Smh---that is so sad. We met the nicest people in the world in Columbia. Hate to hear about any bad blood (literally).

1960 Les Paul
I was right across from it. I couldn't tell who started it or why, but, the Mizzou fan was crazy to get into it with that guy. He was huge!
I will say, the Mizzou fans I encountered were the nicest I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with at a road game. A lot asked if everyone was treating us well and seemed genuinely concerned with ensuring we had a good time. Classy folks.
