for those that love laughing at the Barn. From one of their fans...
"History will show that the flip of Rueben Foster to Auburn will go down as the single-most important event in changing the perception of the little/big brother roles in college football in the state of Alabama. Mainly because of what this manchild beast will do inside Jordan-Hare Stadium and the publicity that has surrounded the flip (press conference, tattoo, etc.). Not to mention the laundry list of fellow defensive recruits that are salivating at a chance to play with this wrecking ball on the field. This guy's magnetism and mentality are no different that Cam's. Both are once in a generation players and we'll have had them in Orange in Blue in a span of four years. I've never seen a time in which truly informed Alabama fans, not the toothleess Wal-Mart Muldykes, have been in such anxiety and agony over the direction of the Auburn Football program. I love every second of it, and they see what's happening and can't do anything about it. When you treat your players as family members and they play for you out of respect and admiration, things like 28-27 happen. When you have players that fear their coach, see rampant gray-shirting, bogus medical departures and wonder if they will have their scholarship the following year, things like a 24-0 complete meltdown implosion against your hated rival happen. It all starts at the top and CGC will go down as a legendary coach in college football history, not just Auburn history, Book It. I tell all of the Bammers without hesitation that CGC will win more national championships at Auburn than Satan will at UTea. If you hook me up to a polygraph while saying it, I would pass because that's how much I believe it to be true. The perception of Auburn Football in-state and on a national level is changing. September 1st is about to open the country's eyes as to what tenacious Auburn football is all about, and I can't wait to watch the look on little dabo's face. These are great times to be an Auburn Tiger. A dynasty is in the making, and if you don't see it, you don't have a clue. War Damn Chizik and War Damn Eagle. "
he is right about the national perception of auburn changing. Everyone outside of Alabama hates them and thinks they cheat.
They really think believing is a valid substitute for reality.
Not exactly sure why he thinks Chizik will do the following:
1. Win more National Championships than Saban.
2. Be a legendary coach.
I'm sure some Auburn fans are even face-palming after reading this lol
On Alabama: CeCe Jefferson - "It was a bunch of beautiful women..." Reggie Ragland - "oh the females of course..."
Talk about no having a clue, damn that is unbelievable!!!
wow - 7-6 year and they will say how young they are again.
next year when Robert Foster is a bigger man child, and they are 7-6 or 8-5 again, what's going to be the excuse...when all these wrecking balls are playing with the bigger wrecking ball.
wow, they are delusional - just delusional.
Barners gonna barn.
has to be a troll................ right?
That's so cute...my child wrote his wish list out like it were true last Christmas, too...
1960 Les Paul
could this be why ?
okay so as I though about this something is clear.
1. The only way they win a national title is by winning the Cam lottery.
2. The National media says that the Barn is not a strong team without Cam.
3. The Barn HATES anyone that says they are not the same without Cam and spills the young excuse.
4. Their hope for R. Foster is that he will be another Cam.
... and Foster might be great... has all the intangibles to be great (if his mind is in the right place, and based on the "flip" and the statement he gave, I wonder that).
But Foster is not $cam Newton. He doesn't have the ball in his hands every offensive play with a legitimate chance to score a touchdown.
As I said earlier... dude's stupid.
Also 2/3 of the people inside the state of Alabama hate them and know that they are cheating and they have been outscored 131-63 the last four years and are 3-1 against Big Brother. RTR!
Auburn University, manufacturing delusion since 1872
you mean 1-3.
This. Foster is a defensive player. While 1 great player on your defense is always a good thing and can turn your team into a winning one(think Demeco Ryans in 05), you need a whole team of talent on the defensive end to take it to the next level (see our 09 and 11 defenses, and LSU's last year). On offense you really just need somewhere between 3 and 4 guys to be great and the rest to be average in order to become a great offensive team (think AU in 2010, Kentucky in 07, Arkansas in 06).
Hell between Foster, and eventually Kris Frost, they'll have 2 really talented LBs that will be a pain for teams to see. If they can keep Carl Lawson and Dee Liner out of handcuffs, they'll have a good DL making them a solid upper-echelon defense in a couple of years. However, they have not proven a damn thing with their OL. They're going to lose their only playmakers on offense after this year (Blake, McCalleb, Lutzenkirchen). Lastly, they have no QB on their roster or in their commitment list that brings the enthusiasm of an AJ McCarron, Cam Newton, Aaron Murray verbal did years ago.
AU will be better than 7-5 in a couple of years. I expect their defense to be a reliable one sooner or later. They could win 10 games in Fraizer's senior year. But they will not win another SEC title under Chizik unless everything goes perfectly right for them like it did in 2010, where they were 5 plays from once again being 7-5.
