Rumors surfaced that the NCAA was at Wooddale HS in Memphis investigating an Auburn player (Jovon Robinson's) grades, financial situation, etc.
The school reported today that an admin falsified docs and has quit/been fired over it.
This has Troopa Stank all over it. Getcha popcorn ready.
A Wooddale High guidance counselor admitted to creating a fraudulent transcript for a former student-athlete and has resigned, according to a statement released by Memphis City Schools.
Not a problem for them unless the counselor ties them to the changes. The player hasn't played yet so they just let him go.
Is the player now ineligible?
Has Robinson played in any games at da barn?

Except he is one of their top recruits... So at the very least it hurts them down the road.
Let's see....the kid is driving around in a new car, had his grades altered to get into school, etc. Yeah. I'm sure Auburn has nothing to do with it.
The article also clearly states the NCAA requested the information. They're taking a look at everything associated with this kid. This wasn't driven by the school or county. The NCAA has spent time there this week. Doubt they'd send a team down just to check out whether he made a C or a D on a math test.
What's funny is Auburn fans are up in arms over one of our commits changing schools and accusing us of grade-fixing TODAY. How interesting that this news comes out.
By Barner law he did not know so he can still play.
The barn will skate once again.
On Alabama: CeCe Jefferson - "It was a bunch of beautiful women..." Reggie Ragland - "oh the females of course..."
Nothing will happen to them, it never does. There could be a video of Chizik giving the school employee and JR a check and still nothing would happen. It's crap
Never Gets Old
I am shocked that the Barningham News isn't covering this.
You had to know something was coming when we were flooded with tree updates earlier this week.
If it is proven AU is behind this then it makes no difference if he has played yet or not. Means never played a down for us but we got bent over.
Means did play, not that it matters.
A friend of mine made a good point.
Let's hope that the NCAA checks this guy's cell phone records, as well as the cell phone records of the Auburn coaching staff.
I hope we can say "ruh roh"....but I am not going to count on it until I see it!
Article says "investigation continues" which means that aubarn IS under investigation
ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE....like NO other
This wasn't self reported. This is the result of an investigation. This is the first piece of fallout.
DM did mention investigation at auburn iirc recently.
I've usually been among the first to pour cold water on "auburn is going down" threads, but this has a lot of traction. First, the NCAA is not just investigating the grade fixing; you can bank on that. Secondly, you may now have the critical piece that was missing from the Cam Newton stuff. To my knowledge, the NCAA has never nailed anyone without at least one witness who was somewhat on the "inside" of the cheating scheme (in our case it was Lynn Lang; for USC it was the disgruntled agent). Well you may now have someone involved in an Auburn cheating scheme with an incentive to talk.
