Why is everyone making such a big deal about what hotel we are in? It seems like espn and everyone else is trying to create distractions! We have been here before we know how to deal with these things and we are ready to play. I can't wait until we take the field. We are gonna whoop some Irish ass!
I have to admit i am suprised the team is down in South Beach and at that hotel. ND's hotel is in a much quieter area and closer to the stadium.
I mean I kinda see their point about all of that, but they were acting like the game is over because we are at that hotel. Its crazy like a guy said earlier if we can handle Bourbon Street we can handle this hotel lol.
Some players really didn't handle Bourbon Street before the Utah game to well. Just saying.

lol yeah I was refering to the last time we were there.
This is such a non-story.
Years ago when we went to the Independence Bowl in Saban's first year, the team and the University party stayed in the Clarion hotel. The hotel was horrible, the accommodations sucked, and everyone was complaining. Word got back to Saban about the fact that no one was happy with the accommodations. He told them, if you go 6-6 during the season, you stay in a 6-6 hotel and you get mediocre accommodations for mediocre results. I don't know if things have changed but back then Saban would reward his players for a great season with their accommodations in the postseason. I think these guys will be alright.
Playing ND for the National Championship is much different than playing Utah in a game after losing out on our shot at a NC.. Just Saying.. And we handled Bourbon Street just fine last year.. Roll Tide
Putting everyone up at a hotel they'll want to stay at I think is a good call, nothing wrong with enjoying the area but if you're at a hotel people just want to stay at, it's a lot easier to keep an eye on everybody.
The hotel is an external factor. It will only effect the team if they let it. One thing I am not worried about is this teams focus. I am also sure the staff considered this when looking at places to stay and will have measures in place to make sure all are focused. Our staff is not stupid. I will say it again this is not a mistake that we are staying there
I agree as we'll. if there are things to do at the hotel then the players do not have to go anywhere to have fun. Makes watching them easier.
Me thinks Teo, Nix, and company will have more affect than the hotel.
Its not really the hotel, its the night club down stairs (LIV) is one of the hottest clubs in the world at the moment. Trying to say that the club so close is a distraction. IF your someone that wants to get into stuff you can no matter where you stay. I assume the team is focused and dont want to jeopardize that
Not to worry. I am staying there and will watch out for the team. This is the Doc on Jox
Maybe staying here was meant to test the focus of the team? Just a thought not saying it's the case.

Well if the place is that hot I guess I'm going to have to go down there and hang out myself. I'll be sure to watch out for the players getting out of control. My thought is all the hot women there before the game trying to hookup with one of our players. Since they'll probably be in their room playing XBox, I'll have a good chance every night prior to the game.
I feel a lot better now! I am staying there too but I can guarantee that I will be trying to do as much as I can of what we hope the players on the team are not doing!! Roll Tide!!!

The team had no choice in the hotel selection. There were two options available that were determined by the BCS. The #1 team gets first choice and #2 team gets the other option. The same thing was true last year.
I am glad they are at a lovely hotel with nice rooms, great bathrooms, fine linens, etc...they will be rested . It is hard enough to sleep away from home, much less under stress in a less than stellar environment.

Finebaum just stated that he heard the team is changing hotels tomorrow??
Clear something up for me; Everyone is saying it's the "FOUNTAINbleu". Is it not "FONTANE..."?
or the Harrahs Casino. Just sayin I was there
