of one poster,,, bamabenny... But some of you folks who post about basketball need to stop...
There are not many threads about basketball and to have to read thru the post that bring NO VALUE to get to a post of substance is getting more and more difficult.
and to offer my Opinion: to get the ball to the player that has shown to be clutch, after making a clutch trey, against a "bull in china shop" post player is what any coach will take for a final match-up...

Good post, MrGold. But, no sense in trying to rationalize with this bunch. Definitely a lot of "fans" on this board that make the decent fans look like a group of idiots to onlookers.
Do I believe he can win at Bama, yes.
Do I believe/know that their were a couple post recruits that fell thru where he had no control.. yes
Do I believe that with a low post threat we would be ranked right now.. yes especially with Johnny O'Bryant
Do I think he runs the same offense as most teams in the top 50, (with small variations)...yes
Do I think its a good offense... yes and YES
Do I thank Bama have players that have mental lapses,,, (Jacobs has 3 a game that cost Bama points).. Yes
I hope that answers your question
We got into the play too late today. Should given Lacey the ball up top instead of Steele. Or at least have Releford at the top to make a drive if Lacey had trouble getting open which he did. You have to have a 2nd option on a last play, especially when you have as much time left on the clock as we did. That didn't appear to be the case as Steele never thought about driving it inside.
Ha, don't act like BOL only does this with basketball because you're the known bball fan of the board. You were around after the A&M loss this season, right?
Regardless of the outcome today, I still am glad to have CAG over Gottfried. Yes, there is work to be done but if you will remember, CMG couldn't win on the road. Grant is the right man for the job and has a more exciting style of play IMO.
Keep fighting guys. We will make the dance this year!
The Dynasty is Here!
Good point... but there are always football post to read... just hate seeing bball post polluted, even when the team is not playing or after a win..
What's really comical is to read some of these guys proclaiming that the game is already over, even as we have one last possession for a game winning shot.
The funniest was the guy who early on in the Miss. State game proclaimed that Grant should stay in Starkville and not get on the bus to come home.
Most of these guys probably played a little high school ball and know just enough about basketball to make themselves feel intelligent.
Thanks, I know other fan bases clown us for our fan base's lack of understanding of sports and our presence of fair weather fans but its becoming more obvious to me. I read where one of our fans was calling for CG job. Thats laughable. With our lack of basketball history and bad facilities, we over achieved by getting CG to come here. If you think we have what it takes to attract top talented coaches or players, you are wrong.
Nice to see someone with a little insight to the program and a little sense about the game post.
Thank you and Roll Tide!
Weren't we in the process of upgrading our basketball facilities when we hired grant? Not saying their top notch or anything but we should be able to attract enough talent to be a legit tourney team and if that isn't the case mal Moore needs to fork some money out to make the improvements. You say lack of basketball history is exactly correct. Historically we're top 3 in the SEC. It can be done but not by defense itself.
We don't lack basketball history guys. Our facilities are way above average as well. Granted all we did was give Coleman a makeover 6 years ago, but our facilities by no means should they affect our recruiting, especially compared to other SEC schools facilities. I still think Grant can be the man here, but we have to get a front court prescence. If we only had a guy like jamychal to put some points on the board at that position, to go along with a Chris Hines who does the dirty work we would be worrying about our seed in the tourny Instead of worrying about when our bubble will burst. Next year is huge for coach grant.
