is the best WR to ever suit up in Crimson. I know I am gonna take heat and that is no disrespect to Julio but he will be the greatest to ever play when it is said in done. Better route runner, better hands, and better ball skills as a freshman than Julio ever had. I know Julio was a freak (speed, size, and measurables), but Cooper is not much slower and he will only get better as time goes on.
I was just thinking the same thing +1
Agree. Love Julio, but as a TF he is unbelievable.
Amari is already a better reciever than Julio was. Julio however was a better athlete.
Julio is one of those guys great at his position but legendary as a "football player". Amari Cooper has better ball skills than any receiver I've ever seen suit up at Bama in my lifetime.
Amari = Ozzie Newsome of course Coop better speed
If you want to walk the heavenly streets of gold, you gotta know the password, "Roll, tide, roll!"
It's a good argument. Only thing I will say is it seems Coop def has better hands. Julio tough as nails and best blocker I've seen in CFB in some time. It's possible that Julio is just beginning to find his overall game in the pros as I've seen him make some unbelievable catches with more consistency catching the ball.
that route he ran on the TD where he did a short stutter and tooks off leaving the DB in the dust showing how amazing this guy is gonna be. Gonna break every receiving record at Alabama
it's a good argument, both are terrific, and really glad they decided to play at bama.
I've been thinking that for a while.
This is it. Julio was a real freak of nature athlete. Amari is a better wide receiver.
Vince Lombardi was asked how it felt to have the best football team in the world. He replied, I don't know. We haven't played Alabama yet.
Yes, but Amari is pretty damn athletic. Better body control going after the football and as fluid as you get. Burner as well. Can start and stop as quick as anyone. Physical.

That catch he made in the 1st quarter over the top of the safety was incredible. His body control and hands are elite. Julio will always be one of my favorites, but Amari is making a statement this season.
Dude is legit. Ask Matt Millen.
Better route runner and better football speed. Both are terrific, different skill set.
To me it's like the aj green vs Julio argument. Two totally different receivers.
I'm not so sure, I never saw Don Hutson play.....
"BINGO! That was a goody!" - Coach Bryant on Sunday afternoons with Coca Cola & Golden Flakes
Coop has made so many big explosive plays he has to be one of the better freshman nation wide. MVP hands.
