A young Reggie Wayne. I had been trying to figure out what receiver he looked so much like and I believe if you look at his speed and route running he is very comparable to a young Reggie Wayne. Thoughts? They just look very similar in a football uniform to me.

I think that is a great comparison. While his measurables won't jump out at you, he just produces week after week.
Panthers Steve Smith + about 3 inches
I think he is almost a clone of Jeremy Maclin. They even walk alike.
He reminds me of Amari Cooper.....i think he will make a name for himself just saying
I said Torry Holt. Fluid route runner and can stop on a dime. We will be asking who is the next Amari Cooper in a few years. Kid is special and will create his own legacy.
Very good comparison.
Desean Jackson, except with a better attitude.
I have no clue what Cooper's 40 is but it is readily apparent that when the ball is in the air he has the ability to shift into a 6th gear and separate. Also is a very fluid and advanced route runner and I can't recall the last dropped pass. Julio was a physical freak but this kid is a much better receiver. More explosive....how TDs did he have? 11-12?
That throw by AJ and the catch by cooper on the sideline was one of the better throw/catch combos u will really see. Accuracy/strength combined with the catch and getting a foot down. Cant remember which quarter it was in. Didn't think it was even close to being a completed catch watching it live. The replays for sure left no doubt! Roll Tide
I love when people say this.
I actually think Reggie Wayne is an outstanding comparison. Fluid runner with a great burst off the line of scrimmage; catches the ball with his hands; sneaky fast; always open. Great comparison.
Great comparison. I have been thinking this for quite some time. +1 for you

wayne and holt are good comparisons...steve smith? no
I can see the Wayne comparison for sure- elite route runners, great ball skills, similar in size. One of the things that makes Cooper so good IMO is the ability to stick a foot in the ground and change directions seamlessly, with or without the ball. His move after the catch in the 3rd quarter is an example.

I guess it does not hurt that he is from Miami and Wayne played there (as far as it making sense in my head) They just look a lot alike in a football uniform to me and have very similar skill sets.
Just to add. Wayne is 6'0 198 Cooper is 6'1 198.
Cooper had a better Freshman season than Wayne and that is saying something because Wayne set a freshman receptions record at Miami.
Year Rec Yds Av TD
Cooper: 2012 59 1000 16.9 11
Wayne: 1997 48 640 13.3 2
Combo of Peter Warrick and Torry Holt
Roll Tide to Her
Right pro team, different player - Marvin Harrison with more speed. Both are/were as smooth catching a ball as anyone I have ever seen. Unstoppable. Just pure, smart, smooth pass catchers.
He reminds me of a mid 90s UF receiver under Spurrier. They had a field full of them, always made me jealous of their talent at we.
