Any time Johnny Manziel is mentioned ALL the highlights are against us. Is that the only game he played in? It pisses me off to think people are so happy to see us lose, that you can win the damn HEISMAN TROPHY for beating us. Again, nothing against the kid. Seems nice enough and good for him but come on. I can't wait for that game next year.
It is what it is.
He had many great games. His heisman moment was against us. Especially the fumble throw.
Just like with Ingram it was against USC or the screen pass against UF. With Cam it was the run against LSU. With RGIII it was against OU and some of those late passes.
It happens every year and it the moment that stands out.
We didn't play well against him and he played awesome. That game stood out above the rest for his season and we have to live with it.
It's a passive aggressive compliment.
After January 7th and #15 in hand, it'll all be forgotten.
Vince Lombardi was asked how it felt to have the best football team in the world. He replied, I don't know. We haven't played Alabama yet.
That's how I'm trying to look at it. Really, I'm usually a level headed individual. I think DEHIII's comments were spot on. Then I see a SportCenter segment on JM and those highlights come on, and I want to rip the TV off the wall and take a dump on it. Sorry guys, thanks for letting me vent.
He beat the best....it speaks more then any other win he had this year. We are playing for the national title while they are playing in the Cotton Bowl. Pick your battles.
That pisses you off? All it does is let me know who the top program in America is.
He ran wild against Auburn........there's a reason there wasn't a single highlight from the AU game though. Comes with the territory, enjoy it.
Bama is the best of the best & anytime someone has a good game against us it's a big deal. It's actually a compliment that they show his Bama highlights. Nothing to get upset about, especially considering we're still in the big game. Bama will get another shot next year and will have a reason to be pissed off. That usually ends up bad for the other team.
would you prefer to hear about Manti Te'o and ND? I'll take Johnny
Wait til next year. Doubt we get a part II.
Yes indeed I get mad...every freakin' time!!! But if that play happened against an Aubie, Miss St., or an Ole Miss, no one even cares. And unfortunately, that loss sealed it for him. But in the big scheme of things, I'd rather be playing for the NC. But yes, I still get mad as hell.

We gave him the stage to win that thing. Had he not had the Alabama win, I dare say he'd not have won the Heisman.

Why does it matter? Is he playing for a NC? Not sure why it bothers any Bama fan at all.

No! Hope the returning players get tired of it though!
I will say that I can't wait for another shot at him. I like our chances the second time around. That is the game I am most looking forward to on next years schedule.
No problem at all. Proud of the kid. He definately earned it. Congratulations to him.
when people show flutie and his heisman moment its against miami. Miami was the power of the 80's.... Enjoy the ride we are on... it won't last forever
Sure, as a fan of ALABAMA it bothers me that he has made his Heisman Highlight against us. That play is insane. But I can't be mad at the kid for being a great player and doing the exact same thing anyone in his place would be doing. To be honest, the kid is a great kid. Humble, well spoken, thoughtful, always praising others for his success. He has everything we as fan hope for in kids today and to often we don't see. IMHO we can be proud of the fact...
A fellow SEC member has won the Heisman. Stick to the nation once more because one more time a SEC team has the chance to win it all again....and a SEC player took home the most praised award in all of College Football.
I for one am happy at how this worked out with Tanm joining the league. If both they and Mizzou had terrible seasons and look to have zero future relative to conference success, the moves would seem silly. Now, because of what Johnny Football and the Aggies have been able to do makes our conference even more powerful overall. The perception is only getting bigger and bigger and bigger. And rightfully so.
Sure, there is some BAMA fatigue throughout the Nation. However, regardless of how much we think there is backlash against us - the country VOTES us currently the 2cd best team in all the land, many saying we are the best and will get to prove that soon. In one hand they may be a little tired of our winning, but in the other they keep voting us right where we belong.
Nothing to begrudge, he had good games all year, but he without a doubt had his Heisman moment against us. He seems to be a good kid who has worked his butt off.
Personally, i have no problem with it, he did it to the best "d" around, give him credit.
He earned it, but the problem for A&M will be if the punditry are still talking about their 2012 win against Bama, like they do Utah, as their signature accomplishment in the year 2015!
Since Utah's "signature moment" Bama has won 2 bcs and 2 secs and Utah ... ?
When you play lights out and beat the #1 team in the country on their field, as a freshman, why wouldn't you show those highlights? Aggie fans are claiming it's their biggest win in school history. No brainer.
Yeah but just think he will face bama 3 more times
Well, here's my opinion, like it or not...as DEH said, it is what it is. I get mad when I see it and I wasn't on the field or sidelines during the game. I can tell you the guys that were get mad when they see it too because we did not start or finish that game and the highlights are nothing more than reminders, daily, of this, when they are actually not preparing for the game, but relaxing.
Do they need motivation for this game? Certainly not, but more than a fair share of reminders about what happens when you aren't completely focused on the tasks at hand 100% of the time is a good thing, most especially when everything I see about out competition is of the sugar coated variety.

This. Put it into perspective. Alabama is #1, Manziel isn't even the starter for the Aggies one month before the season. Before the game everyone was saying that if the Aggies were going to win, Manziel was going to have to put that team on his shoulders and win it. It was the only way. That's exactly what he did. He beat the best team in the country on their field. A team, that before that game was seen on a level with NFL teams. It was his Heisman moment. It put him on another level.
We all hate the memory of that loss, but there simply isn't a better game they could show of his Heisman season. Happy for the kid and looking forward to Bama shutting him down next season on their field.
