I heard yesterday that everyone in NY City is talking about Greg McElroy. I would pay big money to see him play a whole regular season NFL game, or better yet a playoff game. We all know what he can do. In High School he sat behind Chase Daniel waiting his turn. In college he waited behind John Parker Wilson (I heard Saban even told him he'd never play for him once- don't flame me, its just what I heard). At the Jet's he's waited his turn behind Sanchez and this year even Tebow. GMAC has to be the greatest understudy and grinder of all time.
No, It has been all over ESPN and the Sporting News all day, Sanchez will start
Unfortunately Mark Sanchez is starting the game.
"Nobody makes me bleed my own blood, nobody!"
It's Sanchez. The only interesting question now is whether or not they will activate Tebow or McElroy this week. Apparently the Jets only keep 2 active QBs on the roster at any time.
Well, thats' a rule. You can only have two QBs active for a game, and a third quarterback who can only come in if the first two get hurt.
Christopher Walsh covers Alabama football for BamaOnline, 247Sports, and is the author of 18 books.
Question. If they activate McElroy as the backup for this game can Tebow still come in and play another position as he has in the past?
They'll start Sanchez, and if they want to win, they'll bring in the closer.
Someone said the emergency QB rule was removed in the new CBA.
