"Nobody makes me bleed my own blood, nobody!"
ZM is awful. He couldn't beat out dumb and dumber last year and he hasn't improved at all. Maybe even gotten worse. We just played the 2nd best QB in the SEC IMO . Granted LSU has more talent at RB and receiver but it hasn't helped them much. If we make him move around he might play his worst game. No matter how much I want to be afraid of LSU, his play has been so bad I just can't rationalize why I should be.
This will be interesting. If Alabama gets up early, I am anxious to see if LSU abandons the run and let's Zach try to get them back into the game. History has shown that Miles will stick to his guns and keep running the ball and hoping for a turnover on defense, because the last thing he wants is Mettenberger to have to win it, because it could well become an "interception feast" with the talent Alabama has at LB and DB.
I think if Alabama gets up by 10 or so, LSU keeps running it and doesn't try to let Mettenberger bury them any deeper. Because of that, it might end up like the Florida vs. LSU game the year Tebow returned for his first game back from concussion. LSU played not to lose, and Florida got up and never allowed the LSU offense to do anything because they simply weren't risky enough with the play calls.
Some very good discussion here.

To the OP's question, I seriously doubt it. We tend to make really good QBs look mediocre to bad, and at this point, Mett ain't a good QB. I don't think LSU's D is quite as stout as it was last year, and our O seems to be a little stronger. So one would think that we could put some points on the board, and win by 10-17 points. But this is LSU at their place, so it wouldn't surprise me if our O stalls out and LSU makes a couple big plays and it comes down to the wire.

I was going to say the same thing. QBs tend to have bad days against us, not their best. Garcia's miracle game was the exception. Even Lee/JJ last year had a pretty good QB rating in the non-Bama games.
I have no confidence in Miles to have his QB ready for the multiple defenses and disguise coverages we will throw at him. He never does. If they win it won't be becuse Mett is picking our D apart, IMO.
Remember UF ran straight at LSU an took over
