First, admins, if you feel like this needs to be taken down or moved, please do so. I don't want to fill your board with things that you will have to wade through. I am staff writer for BearsTruth.com (Baylor 247) and posted this on our site as well and had a wonderful response.
My girlfriend of four years (23 years old) was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in July. It was a huge shock, obviously, and we weren't expecting the expenses that came with it. Luckily, God has provided Sarah with a wonderful job that covers 100% of her insurance.
In a way to give back, we are starting a non-profit foundation that helps other men and women with MS and are burdened by it financially. The medications and hospital bills can become almost as life altering that the disease itself, and we feel that we can at least help in this way to relieve stress for at least a few individuals and their families.
The link to the initial fundraising page and the Facebook page are at the bottom. I don't want you to feel as I am asking for a contribution, I just ask for you to share these pages with your friends and family and help us create awareness about a disease that is prevalent, but somewhat unknown.
However, if you would like to contribute, you can do so via Pay Pal (http://www.sarahshope-ms.com/) as well as the attached page.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
My girlfriend of 4 years was recently diagnosed w/ multiple sclerosis. This process kicks off creating an organization to help MS patients w/ medical expenses.

Thanks for all of the kind words. Things like this make the 247sports network very unique.
best wishes. my dad had MS. as terrible as the disease is, the way the insurance companies will treat you later on is even worse. although i guess things are different now
This is a good site to come with the Baylor colors- we won't forget how they put us in the title game last year.
That being said, I hope she can stay strong. We're getting better and better at treating MS.
Exactly why I came to post here... thought you guys owed us one!
By the way, anything contribution of $25 and you will get a shirt. Don't have a final design yet, but should before the end of the week.
Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that if you weren't sure on just strictly donating, you can order a shirt now. They are pre-orders for the next couple of weeks, but you can see what you are paying for.

My Dad has MS. He can barely walk with a cane and help now. He's stubborn and keeps trying. He falls everyday. He also can't take the meds to slow it down bc they give him siezures. God Bless man.
