Does the word need strike a nerve with you? Maybe I should have used some other phrase here. Just get a little tired of being compared to an Auburn fan just because I pull for the Braves.
A Braves post on here never fails to be highjacked by these dumb comparisons.
Bottom line....the Bravos are in and have been playing really good baseball in the 2nd half. It's funny watching the haters hijack all of the Braves threads though.
The Dynasty is Here!
A lot of jealousy in this thread.
Go Braves! Great way to clinch last night

Sorry Bro- no jealousy coming from a team that actually has a tradition and recent success in winning World titles.
so go start a thread about the Cardinals and get out of this one
I really don't see how ANY team can be jealous of the braves....not even the Mets.
The two best things that ever happened to the Braves (Ted Turner and Bobby Cox) are gone. They'll never have it as good as they had it when they were around.
The attendance is abysmal and the atmosphere at a braves game is horrible...EXCEPT, when the Braves are in the 9th, and it's a close game, and there's a chance for them to win. For atmosphere and fan support, check out Fenway Park, Yankee Stadium, Busch Stadium, Miller Park, Citi Field. Fans are always into the game. Cubs games are far more exciting and they lose 80% of the time!
Also, Chipper "Larry" Jones, is not one to envy. I've met him, as well as many of my other friends (who are all HUGE braves fans) and we all agreed that he was nothing but a narcissistic jerk. One of the guys even mentioned how it was more pleasant to hang around Tiger Woods for a few hours. Plus, let's not forget about the affair with Hooters waitress. Sounds just like Bobby Petrino to me. For a class act on the left side of the infield, see Cal Ripken Jr.
So, unless there is something that I'm clearly missing, I just don't see how anyone could be jealous of the Braves.

Taking shots at Chipper Jones. Stay Classy.
Everyone knows Chipper has made mistakes in his past. I think you will find many baseball players and most human beings have.
Sorry Chipper wasn't excited to meet you.
Also, you lost all credibility when you said to check out Citi Field for Atmosphere and Fan support. Come on Bro.
When was the last time you were there?
I was there for 2 games last week. It was completely dead both nights and there were as many fans from the Phillies there as the Mets.
All the Mets fans assumed they would lose and weren't surprised when they did.
Give me a break
Also...to your "best things that ever happened to the Braves" comment...
ever heard of Greg Maddux? Tom Glavine? John Smoltz? Dale Murphy? Phil Niekro? Warren Spahn? Eddie Mathews? Dale Murphy? you mentioned Chipper Jones so I guess you've heard of him.
If you haven't, go visit the Baseball Hall of Fame in the next 7-10 years.
You can probably learn about several of them there.
said the Mets fan....
Didn't everyone know that in order to be a Bama fan. That you also had to be a Yankees fan as well. Since both teams are basically the same?
