If you guys believe players that have graduated and are not going to contribute Don't get at the very least strongly encouraged to move on yall have your head buried in the sand.
Christopher Walsh covers Alabama football for BamaOnline, 247Sports, and is the author of 18 books.
... as a few of us have predicted. These fine men are program guys, all of whom have dedicated themselves to our team for at least 4-years of their lives. They deserve our praise and appreciation for their contributions to our football program. I expect most/all of them to transition out of the program this semester. Roll Tide, gentlemen!
Being encouraged to leave and getting forced out, as you implied in an earlier post, are two entirely different things. I think you should have worded it differently in your earlier post.
If you are told by the staff it might be best for you to move on how do you take that? Not saying I have a problem with it just hate it for a kid whose heart is set on playing another year. I also understand that is life and the nature of the business. If you will read my original post correctly I said KINDA forced out not forced out. I also doubt CNS likes having to have these kind of talks but once again its part of the process.

With all of this said I have no doubt that a lot of the kids who graduate and know they are buried on the depth chart are ready to move on with their life and are thankful for the education they got. Probably the very big majority is this way. As for Tana I know for a fact he is not ready to move on and if that happens he got a lot of encouragement to do so and I would hate it for him. Like most others I would be very suprised if that happened.
this rotation ?
Tana brings a lot more to the team than just playing ability. He's an outstanding person who can have a positive impact on the younger players.
Denzel Devall is considered to be an athletic freak by his teammates. He is a Jack Linebacker. Many feel he has the ability to beat out Xavier Dickson by the time Spring Practice comes to an end.
I could see Orr move on due to lack of PT and the depth chart. And, I think Jones is a stretch but possible depending on the severity of and recovery from the injury. But, I just cannot see a CB leaving given the lack a depth.
And, no flame intended, but it really grinds my gears when our fans refer to any type of attrition as a player being "processed." Seems extremely Barnerish and just disrespectful to the kid making a decision. That's what it is, a young adult that is making a tough, life decision. Just my two pennies.
Don't forget about Tyler Hayes
Yes he graduated and based on his tweets, he is hanging them up.
I really thought Chris Bonds was going to be a star!
