failed to develop a big man, and in college basketball nowadays that just won't get it. On top of that, like Gottfried, he doesn't seem to make his young players better. He never seems to have an answer to changes by opposing coaches. He seems like a nice guy, but you know what they say about nice guys.
I wish it was just a recruiting problem. I really thought Grant's second year was impressive, but we have not improved.
I understand the down vote. But it doesn't change the facts.
Lacey and cooper are much improved this year.
I don't see it. They have improved physically
This. Both are hitting 3 pointers at a much higher rate.

I usually try to avoid commenting on topics like this,,, but I COMPLETELY disagree. If you watch any of the three "main" players in high school, Levi and Cooper are have improved more than I expected and Lacy has a much better feel for the game. (sometimes he is thinking too much and not playing). Gueye and Engstrom are basically new to basketball and as many have stated, Engstrom took a major step forward..... It will be difficult for Jacobs to get better since he seems to not want to play defense and stay on the floor...
there are not many high level "big" man in college basketball... and there has not been one in-state since Demarcus Cousins.
i am have discuss my thoughts on recruiting, so no need to address - "I agree his recruiting needs to get better by year 5 or i think he's gone. JMO" -
Need to let this year play out. The key will be avoiding bad losses. That is what keeps teams like Bama from dancing. I do wish we would play a little looser. I would rather see missed shots than turnovers from this team.
