Haven't seen it posted. Did ND out number us. Didn't appear so on tv. Looked to be quite the opposite
My family was in section 201 (club seats) behind the Bama band.......300 seats in the section and ND had us out numbered there at least 65%/ 35%. Think that is about the right ratio for the entire stadium too. ND was jazzed and VERY loud at kickoff but after our first score, half our ND section didn't stand and after half time 1/3 of them were gone!

" ND was jazzed and VERY loud at kickoff but after our first score, half our ND section didn't stand and after half time 1/3 of them were gone!"
as it should be!
It was ND, 60/40 at worst. Outside the stadium and around the beach, it was ND 75%+
Never seen such an eerily quiet stadium as Sun Life was late in the second quarter. When we were driving for the fourth TD, you could hear a pin drop.
Dang. Just rewatched the game. Guess they only focused on the Bama section
I'd have guessed 60-40 them.
We were in in 201 as well...row 10 then able to move down to row 1 with my brother-in-law after the mass exodus in the 4th QTR.
Definitely out numbered and 65/35 seems about right. There were more domers in Bama sections than there appeared to be the other way around. Their fans were ecstatic with their "Let's go Irish!" chant before the game but as you said it didn't take long for them to become morose.

My wife had this discussion after we got seated. I said 70/30 she said 60/40 so I could go with 65/35. Only time they got loud was Pregame booing all the award winners, paratrooper with Bama flag and then on the kick catch interference call. Other than that, quiet as a church mouse.
60/40 them. As he said they got real quiet early then mass exodus early in the third when we went up 35-0
That's the norm at Sun Life :D
60/40 is conservative, they might've had us 65/35 in the stadium and it was 80% ND outside the stadium. They hadn't been in so long, it brought them out of the woodwork
65-35 no question.
Thanks guys. Not sure y the downvote. Rewatching the game and I was curious
60/40 and they stayed way after game was no longer in question
Is there a reason they had so many more fans in there than we did? Isnt ticket allotment supposed to be 50/50? I have a hard time thinking our fans wouldnt have grabbed every ticket available for them
Well they haven't been there in soooo long is one reason. I know there are other reasons i just can't think of them.
Each school gets the same number of tickets, so it is 50/50 for schools. However, the schools do not get all the tickets. ND fans must have bought up more of the open seats that are for sale by the Bowl.
All your five stars are belong to us!
Each school gets the same amount of tix, but only about half of the total amount sold for the game. Sunlife Stadium holds over 80,000 the schools probably got 15-20,000 each. The rest go to corporate sponsors,ect.. Thousands end up on stubhub where guys like me blow a wad to watch our team.Just to add, there are no open tickets available for sale to the championship. If you don't know someone connected to the school or a corporate sponsor your only shot is a ticket broker.

ND had us outnumbered everywhere I went in Miami except the Heat game for some reason. Based on tailgating I thought inside the stadium would be worse than it was.
I would say it was 70 / 30 inside the stadium.
It was far worse than that outside the stadium.
In the distant parking lot, where all the tailgating took place, it was 95 / 5.
MASS exodus... fitting
Man you guys were hanging out in the wrong places! The huge South Beach bar we were in from 1-4pm was 75% Bama all the way!!! And I saw the game as being pretty evenly-split. I had lousy seats way up high in section 454 but I had a birds-eye view of the whole stadium, and could see from Notre Dame band to Tide band where the split was. Very even IMO. I will agree that ND seemed a little louder in their cheers just prior to the shellacking, but there is no way they had 60%. I might be willing to go as far as 55% for them! Not looking through Crimson-colored glasses here -- am I the only one who saw it this way???
bolmitch, I'm with you. I was in section 111 and thought 55-45 for them. The splits were pretty evident and we had very few (quiet) fans around us. I guess with a closer game we could have seen a larger amount of Irish among us.
I'd go with 65/30 ND in the stadium but they WAY outnumbered us outside of it. Maybe even 80-85% ND. Seriously.
EDIT: 65/35 I don't do math good (g)
