40 years from now I will be telling my grandchildren how I remember watching "the drive". Doubt I recall my trip to the polls. Heck 4 years from now we just do this all over again. An undefeated season is forever.
Election, no question
Bama win..I do not care for either candidate.
Roll Tide, no question.
Anyone who states differently is either lying or a freakin' Boog. Think about: You see where they are right now??? That's right, posting on a Bama message board. And, so I rest my case with a big @ssed (G).
actually it is not that "one sided" of a decision. Should who is elected president be more important? Of course it should. However, the last several elections have shown that no matter who is elected President, the two parties will fight each other, put party loyalty first, create gridlock, and the average joe will be of no real priority to those elected. I hope and pray I am totally wrong, but I think regardless of who is elected today, little will change for the average American.
Because of that, I guess I will go with winning the game. I "know" that makes a difference to me. If I thought who was elected would really, really make a difference, I would pick the presidential election for sure. I actually wrote in a candidate, because I don't particularly like either candidate, I am in Tennessee, and with the electoral college, my vote did not matter anyway and will have zero impact.
Game, no doubt. I have strong feelings about the way this country should be run but every president goes to the middle when they enter office and frankly the president doesn't have that much power, at least not in the long term. I might feel differently if one candidate was promising a war with Russia or something since he has total power over that (although he's not supposed to).
For those who don't live in a swing state and don't like either candidate, you might be able to do some good by writing in Gary Johnson. He has probably the most support of any minor party candidate and if he gets enough votes his party will get a spot in future debates, which can help provide an additional perspective in the conversation.

The game. Not even close. The importance of the President is overstated.
Now, if the question is the game or who is in Congress or the Supreme Court, I'd probably give a different answer.

Presidential Election.. football game does not directly affect my way of life
Without question I'd decide the outcome of tonight's election. In the next four years, Bama will be in contention for a championship every time. I'm not excited at all about what might happen, beyond the next four years, depending on tonight's results.

"The Lord," grumbled Bryant, "expects you to block and tackle."

Election -because I don't have to wait 4 yrs for Bama to beat LSU
I could ask how many of you have an Alabama football picture up in your house, and how many have a picture of a president, but I think we all know how that one would come out.
