Could you give us a quick and dirty description on how we came to get these terms and what they mean? Some I never heard on here. Grade of Saw would be one of the exceptions where I do it used and understand the back story.
But it would be funny to hear the back story.
Not a term, but a board hero:
Lil Julio--back story is that poster Fat Nub took his miny turtle to the 2009 SECCG and posted on the old board with commentary and picures. See the below link which has the original post and the birth of Lil Julio.

FWIW = for what it's worth
IYAM =If you ask me
could care less = I still care a little bit
so it does mean something, just not what some seem to think
English major, can't help myself.
These words and phrases are called malapropisms, which are defined as unintentionally humorous misuses or distortions of a word or phrase; for some time they have been "collected" by posters and made a part of the language of the board. You asked about Grade of Saw, which I have assumed (as you do) is a misuse of the phrase "grain of salt". If you will look back at the words/phrases listed in this thread you should be able to make out what the writer intended to say, and see the humor in the misuse. I would hope that the staff is collecting these words and phrases for inclusion in a board dictionary....

But most use it in the context where thry really mean "couldn't care less"
This one drives me insane too.
Here is the grade of saw thread, there are also a few other gems mixed in along the way in this thread.
Couple of people are saying hes reinstated this week, and then I just saw Legend post it on Fbook. Taking it with the biggest of salt grai
I thought it was, "In My Humble Opinion." Oh well, I could care less.
This drives me nuts, I've never understood how someone thinks you could "loose" a game/match/recruit, etc...
No I was saying of these I don't understand the back story. I figured they were screw ups of a phrase or word. I just think it is funny to know the context of when it was used. Such as grade of saw with DC.
I was also saying many of these I never recall being lingo around here. An exception is Grade of Saw. I do know that one and remember it from the Duron thread.
