They want to claim all their national championships. Look at what they've come up with and tell me what is wrong.
Even counting 7 fake championships, Bama still wins by 6.
1983, 1993, and 2004 are insane.
USC would have kicked their asses in 2004
Pre Rose Bowl "titles" are weak. I wouldn't want us to claim our early titles if it wasn't for the fact that they came via the Rose Bowl, which was billed as a clash of the best from the west vs the rest. Those games being played in the Rose Bowl is what gives them merit. That and it put southern football on the map.
As for claiming titles while on post season ban...lolololol.
2004 also a complete joke. Bama has one laughable title. That's it.
"We're modern-day gladiators, and that mental toughness is really important to have in a good team." Nick Saban
A LOT of folks tryin to be Bama lately.
They are living the dream. The NCAA does not recognize 2004, 1993, or 1983.
On the other hand, we could claim start claiming 1966.
So barners doing the very same thing they accuse Bama of doing? Oh, and the school only recognizes 1957 and 2010. So I guess they need to speak with their own university and correct them.
Back-to-back in 1913 and 1914. I'm impressed!
I can't remember what bizarre criteria they use to make those up, but I know that if we use the same ones, our number jumps to like 28 or so. They really are not very bright.
At what point do we stop worrying about them?
Weve won 3 titles in 4 years and show no signs of stopping, all the while, they can even get the bus started.
Seize the moment, little brother will be fine.
Disagree. Fauburn IMHEO.
remember it wasnt auburn until 1960. they had various names over the years because no one knew who or where they were, kind of like today. oh yea , and nobody cares.
Choose not a life of limitation
We could claim 25+ titles with this criteria. We have 19 titles based on some polls that are published... And, they are stretching even what the "stretch" claims are. The very most would be 5 --and that includes BS titles like New York Times Computer Polls, Dunkel, etc.

1993 they were on probation and were not allowed to play in the SEC title game and was not able to play in a bowl game. How in the hell can they claim that? If you arent eligible to participate in the post season, that does not automatically mean national champs. Only an idiot would claim titles they werent eligible for post seasons... oh way they already do in 57
in 1910 they got shutout by a team that went 5-2-1 LOL

Ironic they never claimed some of these new championships until now. When Bama wasnt winning you never heard any of this garbage from them. Now that Bama is winning concensus championships that cannot be disputed, their fans are suddenly coming up with claimed championships from 100 years ago. I think depseration is the word that sums this up best.
Wow, lets see:
1910 (API): 6-1 with a shutout loss to Texas. (Recognized by NCAA Pittsburgh 9-0 & Harvard 8-0-1)
1913 (API): 8-0 (Recognized by NCAA Harvard 9-0 & Chicago 8-0-1)
1914 (API): 8-0-1 (Army 9-0 is pretty much the unanimous champ)
1957 (pretty sure they were still API): 10-0 split with Ohio State (UPI champion)
Now we're just being silly:
1958: 9-0-1, LSU at 11-0 is pretty much the unanimous pick
1983: Oh the Auburn love affair with the year they almost won a national championship, get over it, it was a wild year in the pre-BCS era, it happened to plenty of other schools. #1 lost to #5, #'s 2 & 4 lost, and you were #3 and beat #8.
1993: You wouldn't have beaten Florida gain, so it doesn't matter anyway.
2004: You wouldn't have beaten USC, they were the Alabama of the early 2000's
