11. TR to Kansas City. I believe the Browns take Tannehill or Blackmon. And the Bucs take Mo Claiborne. RB gets discounted again. Chiefs get the steal of the draft, a-la Texans did with 'Meco Ryans.
14. Barron to Dallas.
17. Dre to Cincy
24. Dont’a to Pittsbugh
27. Upshaw to the Pats
I know everyone will argue, but this is how I see it falling for the Bama guys. I see our guys "fitting in" with the teams above.
Peter King mentioned on SI.com today that if Trent does somehow get past #4 and #5, that Fisher really loves Trent also and the Rams are a serious player. They would get rid of S.Jackson in a heartbeat for the new and improved model. So with 3 teams with high interest between 4 and 6, it would be very difficult for him to fall farther than that.
It's not the will to win, but the will to prepare to win that makes the difference.
-Coach Bear Bryant
Very well could happen. Rams could probably get a 4th or 5th round pick for Jackson, which would not be such a bad deal.
I agree with this. Also, if Cleveland and TB somehow don't pick Trent there will be serious interest from a lot of teams to move up and take him. STL could parlay their already traded down pick at #6 to even more picks if they choose to do so
With how highly Trent is thought of, it wouldn't surprise me to see a team appear out of nowhere trading with Cleveland to move up and grab him. It's actually what I'm hoping for since Cleveland is......blah.
I would $h#t right in my pants if Dont'a went to my Steelers.
He's the perfect fit there. Steelers are "old" at LB, and Dont'a is great for the middle in a 3-4. Plus he's good at moving around and rushing. It's like he's made for that team. I would have penciled him in for the Eagles before they traded for Demeco.
Unless the Browns trade, it's Richardson or Tannehill. Blackmon is not Julio or Green and there is just not as much of a difference between him and some of the other WRs in the draft. Plus McCoy is horrible, it would not surprise me at all if they reached on a QB, but they are not going to throw away the pick on Blackmon.
Richardson at 4 to Cleveland
Dre at 14 to the Cowboys
Barron at 16 to the Jets
Upshaw at 18 to the Chargers but maybe 20 to the Titans (probably wishful thinking!)
Hightower either 24 to the Steelers or 26 to the Texans (both would be outstanding situations for him)

That pick is happening unless someone takes Donta ahead of the Steelers.
And I am in the minority on this but I would not take Trent in the top 5. RBs just are not as valuable as other spots on the field. Who are the best RBs in the league? AP, Dmac, Arian Foster, Ray Rice? How many championships to those guys have? The NFL is about QB's, OL, and DL and RBs are a dime a dozen. I love Trent just as much as anyone else here, and I think he will be great in the pros. But no team would be stupid to pass on him in the top 5 or top 10 for that matter.
Teams are looking to trade up to 3 to get TR... Bucs, Chiefs, Bengals. NO WAY HE FALLS PAST 6.... I'll put $25,000 on that!
It's just a QB's league now. There is no question that you have to have an elite QB to win the Super Bowl.
However, there will not be a starting QB available in the top 10 other than at 1 and 2.
I still think RBs can provide a lot of value especially backs like Trent that are excellent in the passing game.
trent will not go past the rams if the rams remain at 6......
Roll Tide to Her
and they will not get rid of the rams all time leading rusher ( SJAX ) when they could have him and richardson
