Who do you think fills the most seats in the stadium? I hear ND has a jump on us in ticket sales, but I think we will catch up and pass them in the end 55-45. I got my tickey by the way. Nosebleed seats, but between the 20-30 yard lines on the Bama side. Not too bad.
I think it will be around 60-40 ND. They have one of the largest fan bases of any sporting team in Amaerica and haven't been in years.
I would expect a larger ND contingent. It's been a while since they have been there; they have a very large fan base, and a fan base that in general terms has the coin to get there.

I actually think it's going to be ND in a landslide. Like 70/30. There will be tons of Bama fans of course. But, the logistics involved to get to this game are going to cause a lot of bama fans to stay home. Notre Dame has an insanely large fan base and wealthy alum who will treat this game as a once in a lifetime experience. Much like the way many bama fans viewed the Rose bowl a few years back.

ND had a wealthy alum buy down the costs of student tickets by a considerable amt.Designed to boost attendance.
One reason they are ahead.
If this was Bama's first NC game in a long time, I would say 50/50. But a lot of the Bama contingent have already been to at least 1 of the past two recent NC games and it is very expensive. A lot of people can't afford to spend that kind of money every year. The way Saban has the Tide rolling now, people are going to have to start saving up every year for the next year's BCS title game.
what will it look like in the fourth quarter though?
I think it will be ND but not by many.
I have been very happy with our fan base turnout. We have always had a great base that travels.
But last year every pundit assumed it would be a de-facto home game for LSU. That was very logical and fine. It ended up being about 55-45 LSU.
Same thing with UGA a few weeks ago. Everyone thought it would be all UGA. I honestly thought the split was 55-45 for Alabama in that game when I scanned the place looking at shakers and colors (our fans wore more white). They showed the hell up.
I would love to go to this game but the price is just out of the park. Unlike last year where I had a place to stay for free and could easily drive and put all my $ into tickets, you can't do that here. Plus I have been to the last 2 title games. So there will be some like me that for the cost will pass. Others that didn't go will try to go, but I don't think that will be the majority. So I think they will have more people there because of the newness and what a large fan base that have.
That said, I bet our people will find tickets and get that thing pretty close. They always seem to do that.
(also don't get caught up with the ND ticket request of 100,000. I believe (not sure but think I read it) they allowed everyone on their ticket list to request tickets. And I think read where they were giving tickets based upon lottery system, not on money contributed or years getting tickets or whatever. We requested 40k, but our people were limited to 2 or 4 tickets except the sky box folks who could get more. One of our ticket people estimated we would have requested 124,000 tickets if there was no ticket limit per tide pride member)
I agree. There is still a tremendous demand by Bama fans for Championship tickets. I was shocked that the Bama fans out-numbered the UGA fans at the SECCG but I am certain that they did. As far as ticket requests go, without a limit we would have requested a huge amount of tickets. I would have requested 2000 or more myself. Anyone with half a brain would have done the same since the re-sale value of the ticket is 4-5 times the face value.
As far as the 4th quarter goes... Let's hope it is like the 2008 Clemson game. If Bama sings Rammer Jammer and no opposing fan is there to hear it, does it make a sound?
Same thing happened to us last year, more purple & gold than crimson & white In New Orleans...don't matter to us...we win anyway!! Let's go for a repeat!!
Lots from Chitown are going and it is pretty easy shot flight wise
Its not us pushing ticket prices to $2,500 each.
There were a reported 500k people in the Miami area without tickets for the 06 Super Bowl...Bears vs Colts. Same fanbase...and ND has gone almost as long without a title as the Bears.
I expect it to be 70-30 Bama
In the 4th quarter
It will be closer inside than people are saying. I expect 55-45 or so.
I believe you are right.
Game time 60-40 ND.
End of 3rd 60-40 Bama
End of Game 80-20 Bama
If you dreamed you were a sleep and you woke up, would you be awake?
