I was just discussing with Cowboy fans our issues at offensive line. I told them I would take Bama's line over the one in Dallas.
How many of you guys would say that about your pro teams?
No one with any sense would say that.
Wow..well I guess that's an insult so f*** you.
Seriously, I think Bama's is that good. I also think the Cowboys have major concerns. I would take Bama's nickel CB over the one in Dallas. Probably the two starting safeties as well.
You don't even wanna get me started with the defensive line.
Btw, is it that crazy when rookies start on the offensive lines after being drafted as juniors? No
Hold that thought while I break out the Orville Redenbutters. This is gonna be good.
i love cops
Any NFL team's offensive line is going go be better than every college team's offensive line. That's why they're professionals.
I don't usually like to get in on these things... but...
Reading about their O line, their brightest shining star is 2nd year Tyron Smith out of USC... I mean, hell, how many of the players on our line are expected to not play pro ball? I know CK is young but beyond that, I think our boys would hold their own beside Tyron Smith? Just playing devils advocate here...
Sorry, shouldn't have been so blunt. No OL in the history of college football is better than the Cowboys line now. We have 2 players at the moment that would be lucky to make a roster. 2 players that may or may not be ready to start. I just don't think it is close.
If we're talking at this moment any pro line would be better because of experience. Now if you were to give them 1-2 years experience I'd take Bama's over a lot of teams. Besides that, talent wise they're right there with any of them.
Delusional Bama fan is delusional. Roll Tide anyway.
I think you guys are being too hard on the OP. No, I don't think you could do a full substitution of a pro O-line for Bama's O-line, but let's modify the question a little bit:
If Bama's 5 starters on the line were going into training camp with your favorite NFL team, would any of them beat out the starters?
Maybe some of us who pull for bottom-half teams are at an advantage here, but for my Raiders Chance Warmack would win the left guard spot within about 5 snaps of camp practice, and I'd be surprised if Fluker wasn't the starting right tackle by the first regular season game.
Lol, ok I'm never a delusional fan. I'm probably more of a critic of the Cowboys and Jerry Jones. We have 1 1st round guy on the offensive line and he's 22 at the most (Tyron Smith). All the rest are 4th or lower. Doug Free was supposed to be our future LT and flunked last year. Moved him back to right after that. They don't have a clue who the gaurds are going to be. Injuries have us in limbo at C.
B.Jones, Warmack, and Fluker would make the 53 in their sleep with Jason Garrett doing the dreaming. I would give them one training camp and those 3 would start for Dallas. Yea Fluker would struggle with the speed rushers but sack #s were insane last season.
One more thing. I give our coaching staff a bunch of credit. Professionals don't always do pro things in the off season. Several of our guys look in poor condition. Im just saying at Dallas. Bill Callahan just got the OL gig and he has his work cut off for him.
Just sparking debate. RT
"The (All In) Family"
Then you seriously do not know shit about football
But you say nothing! I give cwaters credit for at least making his point later in the thread. I think some people here are just here to ridicule others. I'm paying a compliment to our guys. Sure pro teams should be further along but in Dallas' case they hurt themselves with the Roy Williams trade years ago. They also had two high picks in Peterson from LSU and another USC tackle that didnt work out.
Am I an expert? No but some of yall act like the only posters that exist here are either "insiders" or delusional. I'm somewhere in the middle but I know some shit about football. You wanna talk to me, make a point.
Solid troll. Would read again.
