Hypothetically speaking of course, if you could get a coach for Alabama's Men's basketball team who would it be?
The most common things I see on here are Prohm and then a bunch of guys who most likely wouldn't take the job.
Would hiring TR Dunn excite the fans? I've always heard that he and Rah Rah Scott were the secret to all of Mark's success. That once he no longer had them we saw what we got. Is TR capable of running of a program successfully?
Would a coach like Josh Pastner take the Alabama job? He is a great coach but makes the same as Coach Grant currently makes. Alabama has the ability to way over pay if need be but would he leave Memphis for Alabama?
I don't get to watch as much mid major basketball as I used to so I'm not well versed on the mid-major guys.
The biggest problem I see in hiring mid-major guys is that one player can make a huge difference is success and failure in these programs. Prohm inherited a great scorer just like Grant did. Has Prohm developed that guy or was that guy already great? He has had an amazing amount of success much like Coach Grant did at VCU but is that due to one player?
I worry about getting rid of Grant too soon cause we don't want to follow the mid-major bust path that Tennessee had leading up to Bruce Pearl. With that said that path got them Bruce Pearl eventually.

Keep Grant for 2 more years and I'll tell ya!
Travis Ford maybe?
There's an idea--a guy who has had success at VCU!!!! (g)
Continued success....he's whipped grants ass each time

You may be right.
We beat VCU last year
Pat Skerry at Towson is probably going to get hired somewhere soon. He is in his 2nd season there and they are 14-12 after they won only one game his first season.
I guess we did. I was just thinking of the ass whopping we took from them this year.
I'm having trouble completely supporting Grant at this point, but I do worry who we would get if we fired him. I don't think Brad Stevens would come, but he would be a home run IMO. I won't give Pearl any serious consideration under the circumstances, so I am really at a loss. What's Robert Horry doing? I have to think kids would want to play for him, but would he even be interested? Just trying to think of a name that hasn't been mentioned 100 times.
