the Sun. paper, they just put a huge pic on the front page and sports page so they don't have to have much content. The sports page news is usually a day or two old. They need to just end it. I went to the local grocery and bought a Tusca. News and NY Times. They put the Bham paper to shame. I am ordering an in home delivery of the Tuscaloosa paper from now on.
My advise to those in Bham, can the news and get TTown Paper.
Why do I need the paper when my computer, iPhone or iPad gives me the same stories for free on al.com.
I really like to sit down with good hot coffee on Sat. and Sun. mornings and pour through the paper. I guess I'm just an old guy who still enjoys reading the printed paper.
I hear you though. I even think al.com sux. Same people. Tusca. paper I think is owned by the NY Times people and you get better world and financial news.
Just my Sat. rant!
Their approach has changed and now they basically think online first and whatever gets into the paper so be it. Consequently, for sports it's basically throw as wide of a net as possible and their reporters are told to post ASAP. They post a lot of things that other outlets first produce and a lot of things that are just 3-4 paragraphs.
In other words, it's all about hits now. They figure if you want it you'll find it.
