Better change his stance or he will get eaten alive.
I agree. People think he will do worse in the SEC but he may actually do better with better athletes in his system. I think it is a solid hire.
He had trouble with Meyer this past year....He will get a education real quick....If he follows Big10 rules then he should not recruit Tenpenny since he is already committed....RTR

Won Big 10 3 years in a row and averaged 9 wins a season and went to bowl every year.
Isn't he sort of a crybaby? Didn't he pitch a fit b/c Meyer didn't play fair in recruiting, in his opinion? He and Meyer might have a lot more in common by the time the 2013 season is over.

University of Alabama: The high mark of college football since 1892
I was hearing this a couple days ago but I didn't think he would leave like Charles Said in another thread I thought he was a b10 guy

He won't have to change much color in his wardrobe...just a logo
I think it's a good hire. He'll get better talent at Arkansas.
3rd or 4th in the SEC West...but good point
He has a 75% winning percentage at a school that doesn't have much history/tradition.
I still say we go after him if he can win 8-10 every year at Arky. That is, of course, after Saban retires.
It must be about money or the prestige of the SEC because I don't think the nation views Arkansas as a better program than Wisconsin. Many people would probably view this a step down.
His wife is from Florida, FWIW.
Prior to this year, Chizik had averaged 10 wins a season at Auburn and had won every bowl, as well.
Solid hire imo.
If he thinks Saint Urban recruits under the table, just wait. Just wait, Bret. And any complaints will fall on deaf ears. Good
Erin Andrews did!!!
He was upset with Urban Meyer because there was a gentleman's agreement in the Big "10". He knows there is no such truce in the SEC, so it won't be an issue. His complaint was that Urban was violating the unwritten policy of B1G coaches. Mountain out of a molehill, IMO. He's a great coach.
Recruiting will be his downfall at Arkansas. Welcome to The Shark Tank-- x 20.........
I still want Bielema at Bama when Saban retires.
He is a great recruiter. He can really evaluate talent - look at what he's done at Wisky. Has he had top 10 recruiting classes at Wisky? No, but they don't produce that much talent in-state. Before he got there, he used to get annoyed by articles describing him as a great recruiter, because he wanted to also be known as a great coach.
Well done, Hogs.
Wisconsin fans are saying, "Thank you lord!" Said he was afraid to recruit/play against Urban. Say hello to Saint Nick bro.
