Lately there has been comparisons about whose better between David Cornwell and Brandon Harris. So I thought I would go watch all of Brandon Harris' film since I have already watched all of David Cornwell's.After watching film on him, I have come to the conclusion he has the throwing motion of a younger Geno Smith. His footwork even mirrors Smith's when he is in the shotgun (average footwork, not great). I noticed his footwork declined quite a bit in the few clips shown of him being under center. I'm sure his footwork can/will be fixed with the proper coaching, but this kid looks like a natural in a spread type of offense. He has a Cam Newton type of charisma about him on his designed runs. His arm is very good, but it seemed the opposition would always let the receivers get behind the secondary. He seems to already have a pretty good sense on how to read opposing defenses, which will help tremendously in his transition to the SEC. Overall this kid is going to be a very good QB in the SEC, and the only thing I would question is the competition he plays against in high school. He looks like he would fit right in with the aggie offense. If I'm Kevin Sumlin I have to be thinking this is my QB of the future. One last thing, does anyone know who the receiver number 7 is for Bossier City? The kid is a playmaker, and I'd have to think he is getting looked at by some FBS schools.
Not sure who #7 is, but live within sight of Parkway. Will definitely have to attend some games and see what they have this year.
My bad not Bossier City High School, I meant the receiver for Parkway.
So or you saying that he is a better QB for aTm than for Bama?? I take it you would choose DC over him if we can only take one? I still believe that Bama will take two if they can get both of them.. just a thought..
It's clear from reading your post that you didn't watch Cornwell's competition. The competition in La is light years better than the competition in Olk. 5a football in La is bigtime. The prospects are pretty much the same in my opinion. I think star ratings and the word dual threat is playing a big role on this board. Harris is not a spread Qb and he had less running yards/attemps than Cornwell. I would take either and I believe Harris will recieve a huge bump in the rankings. This is a Kiel/ Winston debate all over again. Winston was a 4 star until he went to the elite 11 and everybody wanted kiel because he wasn't a runner or Winston was going to play baseball etc. The staff will not let this happen again.
Wow. That really is too bad. A crying shame, actually. Have you seen the damage those retards can do to a quarterback prospect?
you guys are seriously still thinking there is some way we get both these guys? didnt you learn anything from last year, as if you needed last year to know this in the first place?
im not quite ready to throw in the LSU towel yet. He is going to have to get, at a minimum, one felony or two misdemeanor off the field charges before he ends up being the starter for the coonasses
Wasn't LSU AJ's runnerup? I bet he wakes up every day and thanks God for Nick Saban.
