Props to him. He made some very good blocks on Saturday and thought it deserved some honorable mention. RTR
I thought all of our TE/HBs did a helluva job blocking. Harrison Jones did his job on the last TD, Vogler blocked his butt off all night and Kelly Johnston had a huge night. Big Mike did his usual thing....except on the FG.
No kidding! We got back from ATL late yesterday, and watched the replay on DVR, and Vogler was taking on defenders all over the place, sometimes two at a time. Those two TE sets were the best set to run from for us Sat night and they were opening holes ALL over that field.
Grats to Vogler!

You mean Dean? He came outa nowhere and played great... Are him and Brian related?
The sustained block to spring circle button on the 35 yarder was a thing of beauty. Pure effort.
Its amazing how these guys develop for Coach Saban. One week youre wondering if they'll ever contribute and then you 're shocked to see the same kid invovled in huge plays in big games. I noticed him too. He was getting after it. I literaly thought when die he get that good?
He had two blocks on that play... First he doubled Jones, then he slipped to the second level to block the safety (CB?). His best game to date.
Agree. I keyed on TE's the third time I watched the game . . . Yes. Third time. What's wrong with me? He's becoming a great TE for Bama.
I think changing his name to Dean really brought with it an identity makeover as well
Vogler did have a good game! Lacey wouldn't have gotten that sick run where he looked like he was done in the backfield and spun off for 20 or 30 yards without Vogler. Vogler came and put a nice block on Jarvis on that play.

Was just about to post this... His block was HUGE

yeah it was pretty cool seeing two players from columbus, ga going at it.
I thought the same thing about how good all of the TEs blocked but Vogler and Johnson really stood out to me. Everytime I turned around Vogler had Jarvis Jones turned around on a block with a back running around them.
Yeah, I mentioned this in a notebook about a week ago about how the reserve tight ends, especially Vogler, have come a long way this season with their blocking, but you're dead on. It was a pretty big sore spot at the beginning of the season.

Heck yeah... those guys were beasts out there. Following the lead of BMW!!! They put on a clinic!!! And we needed every yard!
