Get ready for the fire to burn full blaze now.
Yeah maybe so. This firing was going to happen regardless. New Owner - these were not his people. He wants a new day in Brownsville.
I would look for someone tied to the Steelers ????? to be hired. He was at one time a small part owner. He wants to build this in their image somewhat.
Who knows...I just know the media will throw gas on this thing now like no other. Maybe CNS will put this topic to rest quickly by saying "I'm staying at Alabama".
For those who want it to be a story, not even that will work.
A Sports commentator on Friday said it best, Saban doesn't want anything to do with the Cleveland Browns. It's a Septic tank.
I LOOK BETTER IN CRIMSON!
The Browns are garbage and I wouldn't be floored if CNS left....but I would be if it were for the Browns. He'll have plenty of opportunities to answer the question, I just hope he puts it to rest quickly.
Saw where the Saints coach will make >8m/yr.
Bama can play the money game but not with most if any NFL teams. Money talks but I don't think CNS is looking for a mega payday. In the end I think he'll want to continue what's he's built here.
CNS isnt going anywhere. I could accept it if he ever left under different circumstances to go to the NFL. But to be honest, he has shot down the rumors time after time the last few weeks saying he was happy here. I would be seriously disappointed if he left after continuing to say he wasn't leaving
Bama can afford to make Saban the highest paid coach in ALL of sports, if necessary. Plus, there are TONS of ego/lagacy related reasons to stay at Bama AND Miss Terry likes Tuscaloosa. He ain't leaving.
Professional football is the most lucrative coaching field, according to Forbes, which has released its top 10 list of highest-paid coaches in sports.
I haven't seen Saban say a word about these rumors. I'm personally worried that he's gone. Hopefully, if he is thinking about giving the NFL another chance, he would let Moore know so that he could at least put some feelers out there.
I would hate, and I mean HATE, to see him leave. Still, if he wins 3 natties for us and leaves the program to places it hasn't been since the Bear, I couldn't get mad at him and would wish him the best.
Fingers crossed is all I can say.
Let me guess. You also thought we had no chance of hiring him in the first place and you likely thought we were doomed when RR turned down the job.
Apparently you didn't hear the lengthy interview Saban did on Miami radio a week or two ago. He addressed all that directly.
Not at all.
After RR turned us down, and I heard the money that Moore was offering him, I personally thought we had a good opportunity of getting him.
Was I worried when RR turned down the job, I will admit that I did. Saban wasn't being spoke of a lot back then when supposedly Spurrier said "no thanks" and RR's wife said Uh-uh.
I hoped that we would get a big name coach and we did. I'm just saying that my gut feeling is that we have something to worry about. I wouldn't be pissed at him if he wants to give it another go. He beats ND and gets 3 titles along with putting us back where he's been at putting talent on our team since The early 2000's, you won't hear me complaining.
I would hate to lose him, but would still root for him in the pros if that is what he really wants to do.
So. You think they're going after Kirby.
No I did not.
You got a link to it? Would love to hear it. Would certainly make me feel better about the whole situation.
It was on Dan LeBetard's show. Him and Jason Taylor I believe. Sorry, no link.
Listen and feel better. rtr
Let me google that for ya.........
For all those people who find it more convenient to bother you with their question rather than google it for themselves.
I've heard he's not interested in the NFL.I've also heard a university that has inquired for two years is likely to offer him "whatever he wants" to take job.but I think he stays at bama for the reasons he mentioned.
Thanks for the link guys.
I certainly feel a little better after hearing it.
