LaSalle - vs George Washington, @ St Louis (They are in pretty decent shape. Loss to GW would hurt, win vs STL seals bid.)
Temple - @ Fordam, vs VCU (In good shape, just avoid bad loss.)
UMASS - vs Butler, @ Rhode Island (Right on bubble line. Big opp vs Butler. 2 losses this week could put them in tough shape.)
Xavier - vs St Louis, @ Butler (Not close right now, but have two big opps this week)
Virginia - at FSU, vs Maryland (Very odd resume. 4 good wins, 7 bad losses, 300+ non conf SOS. Can't lose either of these. No team has ever made tournament with that many bad losses.)
Maryland - vs North Car, @ Virginia (Out right now, but could play way in with 2 wins this week.)
Iowa St - vs Ok St, @ West Va (In right now, would solidify it with win vs Ok St. Two losses would put them out.)
Baylor - @ Texas, vs Kansas (Out right now. Any loss here ends it for them most likely. A Kansas win might do it.)
Villanova - vs Georgetown (In right now. A win puts them in for good, but a loss won't hurt them that much. In good shape.)
Iowa - vs Illinois, vs Nebraska (Need a lot to go right for them and must win both of these games.)
So Miss - @ Marshall, vs UCF (Have to win both and hope RPI gets them in.)
Boise St - @UNLV, vs SDSU (In good shape. A win in either puts them in. Two losses and they will sweat it out.)
Arizona St - @ Arizona (Have to win. RPI is in outer space right now.)
Stanford - @ Cal (Have to win. Solid all around resume. Nothing spectacular though.)
Kentucky - @ UGA, vs Florida (Can't lose both and have a chance minus Noel. How will committee view them without him?)
Tennessee - @ Auburn, vs Mizzou (Two wins probably put them in. Solid resume. Lose to Auburn and Mizzou may be must win.)
Ole Miss - vs Bama, @ LSU (Have to win both. Loss in either ends it.)
Bama - @ Ole Miss, vs UGA (Same as above.)
Arkansas - @ Mizzou, vs TAMU (Must win both. 1 road win is killing them.)
St. Mary's - WCC tournament. Have to make the final. That might get them in depending on other teams.
i think we are done unless we win the sec tourney, or at a minimum win both games and beat florida in the tourney (without winning it all, if seeding makes that possible)
We may be. 2011 Clemson is only team to make tournament with zero top 50 wins. So it has been done. We have to win both this week and see where we are. I think we will know what we have to get done by then.
Pretty sure we'd be the 2 seed in that case and Florida will be the 1.
We definitely need to win these next 2 and then get to Champ game of tourney to really feel decent about a bid. I think anything less and we don't have much of a chance. I just hope, and I figure they will, that the committee will go deeper than just #'s. For example, we do not have any Top 50 RPI wins but we do currently have 3 Top 56 wins.
It would be nice to get UT on Fri in the tourney.
