He probably has already changed his number by now
Just amazes me that the refs are actually getting worse week by week. The owners need to get their heads on straight and get a deal done.

I dont think this is all the owners and the NFL's fault. What about the officials not accepting a deal. It works both ways. Most large corporation have gone away form Defined Benefit plans and are heading into Defined Contribution plans. Defined Contributions, if the league has a matching incentive, would not be that bad. You stand to make a good retirement with a contribution plan if you put the max amount in each year and then depending on the matching would be making double up to a certain percent.
Fwiw, when i was watching all the post-game madness, i heard someone state that there is actually some willingness to negotiate on the money. The big hang up are operational issues where the nfl wants to add as many as 21 new refs to get some new younger guys some reffing experience. The nfl also wants the ability to review performance and suspend refs who perform poorly . Ref union is balking on that

Confidence breeds success, and they don't have much confidence right now. With that said, these refs are being influenced by nerves, emotions, etc. It will only get worse, as the players/coaches freak out more and more.
They want a bigger piece of the pie, and I can't blame them. The NFL is a billion dollar industry, yet they don't want to pay the refs what they deserve.
