doesn't have COPD.
It's not COPD as I understand it, it's a condition where his lungs are having a hard time exchanging oxygen (essentially functioning correctly). Very similar to asbestos poisoning but they are not sure what has caused it. It could be a chronic condition but they are not entirely sure, still testing.
they know and not that either. He needs our prayers...that is all.
What a bunch of dumb disrespecful ass holes ya'll are. Dont speculate on something you know nothing about. Time for prayers and not speculation.
That is exactly what happened when Dave left, and what is most likely to happen if Mal were to retire. Shane runs the athletic department from a day to day operational standpoint now.
As for Ozzie.. the guy spent four years at Alabama and has spent 30+ years with the Browns/Ravens. Why do people really think he'd leave there to come back here? He is one of the most respected and longest tenured executives in the NFL. He is the most powerful African-American man in the NFL. And people think he'd resign from that to come and manage men's tennis and women's swimming? Not to mention having to deal with Nick Saban, answering to Judy Bonner, answering to Mike Slive, and having to deal with ADs from Mississippi State and Missouri.
It just doesn't make sense.
As for the person who brought up Phil Savage... Phil was fired by the Cleveland Browns and has been getting paid by the Browns based on his contract. He might very likely have taken one of the multiple NFL GM positions that were open this off season if not for the fact that he is now the executive director of the senior bowl. He's from Mobile and gets to evaluate NFL talent for a game that is Mobile's premiere sporting event. He also gets to keep doing the radio job at Alabama, which he loves. That's not exactly the same thing as Ozzie quitting the NFL to come back to Alabama.
I don't know whether Mal will retire or not. I do know that the day to day operations of the athletic department haven't been majorly affected by him not being there, because he doesn't do most of that work now anyway. If he does retire, I would imagine that at the very least Shane would be named interim AD. And I would be surprised if he weren't named the permanent AD at the same press conference that Mal announced his retirement at.
He will not be the next AD i am pretty sure of that.
ghost I agree with you....I haven't seen one post that is close to accurate and some that were simply just disrespectful.
Is mac1 also MAC? If this is MAC, you should be able to enlighten us on Coach Moore's condition and any potential AD candidates.
