Wanted to share a quick tidbit about Coach Murphy from this morning.
I am in the Tuscaloosa-Morning Rotary Club and chairing our annual fundraiser this year. I made an announcement to the club this morning about sponsorships and how i needed everyone to help out because so many companies are cutting back their budgets and are not able to spend as much on sponsoring events as in the past. Anyway long story short, Coach Murphy was our speaker this morning and during his talk, he said he would like to make a contribution to the fundraiser, which i won't say how much, but it will definitely go a long way towards our goal to benefit the local Community Soup Kitchen and Northington Elementary School.
We are very fortunate to have Coach Murphy in Tuscaloosa and just wanted to share that even though he's a great coach, he's an even better man.
New Member of The 247 Crew!
Coach Murphy is the man! And I am really pumped for the Lady Tide Softball team. Jackie Traina is my favorite, but hey,
they all are great ladies there. Let's bring home #2 this year, ladies.....RTR!
Also wanted to add, he's a tireless worker. Told us this morning the afternoon they got back from the National Championship, he flew to California to recruit. Kinda reminds me of someone else in our AD dept. He is a tremendous asset to the University
Great story. I've heard the girls on the team do a lot in the community and obviously, it starts with the head man.
I LOVE this program and have really enjoyed getting into softball the last few years.
The Dynasty is Here!
I was amazed how outgoing and friendly he was when I met him in Miami. I told him that I couldn't help it and shed a tear when they won it all, he replied "me too!". Even let me get a picture with him. Just one of those people that strikes you as a "winner" in many aspects of life.
Have met CPM a couple of times,he is definitely a great person.
Hes a good guy, last year Bama was playing USF here in Tampa. Wife and I went to go watch and after the game he took time to talk with us and introduce us to the team as my wife was on the first team that played at womens World Series and he made a point to let the current girls know how good they have it cause she came to Bama when there was no stadium or top program
Also gave me one of his Black Mesh Bama hats he got made
