Well past time for me to update Core's Class 2014, as I haven't done so since Mid March. There are 8 changes from the previous prediction, as noted.
The class of 2013 was uncharacteristically heavy on the offensive side of the ball early on, but finished fairly balanced with a flurry of defensive additions in the 11th hour. Don't expect to see the same in the 2014 class. It will be more in line with what we have come to expect during the Saban era; heavy on the defensive side.
I Look for Bama to land 4 D-Lineman, 4-5 Linebackers, and 6 Defensive Backs in this class. On the offensive side, I look for a quality QB, 2 Running Backs, 2-3 Receivers, 1-2 Tight Ends, and 4-5 Offensive Lineman. Throw in a couple of Athletes and possibly a Punter, and Bama will again finish with a top class.
I have listed 25 as being part of this class, but it is looking more and more likely that at least one of the 2013 signess will not qualify, thus, giving a back counter.
Here is a look at how I hope to see this class filling out at this point.

I think we'd pass on Koda for an athlete/DB. Stephen Roberts is firmly entrenched as a corner to our staff. Mods said he was rated as a top 5 national corner and that's why the early commitment was accepted. Excellent film as well. Laurence Jones and Leonard Fournette would be exceptional pulls. I don't see us landing either of them right now. I don't know if Bo will stick at RB. He's so athletic and so bubbly I see him growing out of the position but still making a major impact somewhere on the field. Can't wait til the summer circuits and an Amari Cooper type comes along from out of the blue.
You'll never achieve great things until you believe that's what's supposed to happen
Your guess is remarkably close to mine right now.
Perhaps a little optimistic, but it's hard not to be optimistic right now.
What was your basis for removing Lorenzo Carter?
I actually didn't remove him, I moved him from DE to JLB, which is likely where he will play at Bama, then added another DE type.
Ahhh, sorry, I should read better. Thanks.
you need to drop fournette, martin, willis, and ruffin. roberts is a corner and clark is a safety. expect Bama to take one more ot.
Nice input. I have six DBs listed (counting Roberts), so I almost left Koda off for another OL, as I only have four listed.
Both Fournette and Jones would be exceptional pulls for sure. I think if we land Clark, Sims and Robinson, we have a good shot at Jones. Fournette is a gut pick. The staff is on him very hard and has made it clear he is top priority.
Agreed on Bo, and I am anxious to see what diamonds are unearthed too, nit just at receiver but across the board. RTR
You may be right on Fournette and Willis, those are probably homer hopefuls. lol. I really think Ruffin could end up a part of this class. Martin will likely be replaced by another OL as you suggest. I should have moved Roberts to corner but he was listed as an ATH early on and I failed to update that. Even though he is listed as a safety, word I hear is that Clark is being recruited as a LB by Bama.
He just changed his position to Jack LB.
Sawyer is on hold. Not committable yet
Tweaked the list a bit based on feedback from you guys. Udated Roberts position, removed TE- Koda Martin and added OL- Donell Stanley, moved Bo from RB to ATH.
