Fulton just tweeted something about having surgery, and I'm assuming it's for his turf toe injury.
My understanding is that his wasn't as bad as Eddie Lacy's last year.
Christopher Walsh covers Alabama football for BamaOnline, 247Sports, and is the author of 18 books.
thanks for the heads up. Hope he has a real good off-season and is ready to go in the spring.
What's the word on him Chris? Progression? Potential in the future? I know he has been hurt with this and I think even something else this year but he hasn't seemed to make a big jump into the main defensive rotation that maybe we thought he might a couple of years ago when he signed?
He said it was a broken foot... suffered against Texas A&M.
That would explain why his mins went down. Cause I thought he was doing pretty good.
Fulton is a lock-down man-to-man cover guy. He's struggled with the scheme a little and also with the fact that hes had Menzie, Kirkpatrick, and Milliner ahead of him. Also one thing I question is how good he is in run-support. Expecting him to be one of the 2 starting corners with Belue (although Belue seemed to regress as the season went on, so i'm not excluding Geno Smith from taking over Belue's spot and moving #13 to the nickel)
I think he had confirmed it was a broken foot.

If Fulton was a lock down corner we would have played a lot more because Belue certainly isn't. He was good toward the end of the A&M game but he was getting owned for awhile.
Good deal. That fella really impressed me at how quick he adjusted to game speed once he was called on. I really think he can be a good player.
I was skeptical until I saw how well he adjusted. He looks to be one of those guys that once you put them in a game, he responds to the spotlight. That's the impression he gave me....
