He's been leaving Bama since 2009....maybe Cowherd is basing this off the Mayan calendar????
Everything Cowherd says must be taken with a grain of salt. He knows that the entire college football world aside from Bama fans would be ecstatic if Saban left, and he is also appealing somewhat to his NFL listeners with this story. A "Saban to Cleveland" storyline hits just about all major factions of his audience.
Cowherd also said Bama would never be able to get Saban and that he would never last 5 years at Bama. So there is that to consider as well.
Wishful thinking on his part.
I would be sick. Make no mistake. The gap between Saban and the rest is enormous. We will not replace him with anyone comparable. They don't exist.
Unfortunately that just isn't likely to be the case. What Saban has done here is unlikely to be matched by whomever his successor is. Taking a step back is inevitable, but hopefully it's a small step back.
Agree would be tremendous pressure. & very big shoes to fill. The guy could probably win a championship. & could still end up being a failure. LMAO

Coach Saban has a legitimate chance to square shoulder with the shadow of Coach Bryant, if his ego is "as bad as Cowherd thinks"...he still has some work to do here at Alabama.
You guys will listen to anything...then spread that crap like a wildfire.
Congrats Cowherd!!! You be killin'em man...Those Bama fans will always keep your show HOT and ratings high
It's pronounced, "grade of saw".
Seriously, don't we all want to live in the city of Cleveland???
There is more than just the coaching or the money, there is a city you move to that's in any job change.
Tuscaloosa/South > Cleveland
You misread what I said. I said our next coach will do as well or better as Miles has at LSU since Saban left. Not as well as Saban himself.
If that coach is as good as Miles. Maybe but that isn't a given.
