If we were willing to play A.J. against Texas as a true freshman, he would certainly play Black if this was a difference making scenario.
This ^^^^^. We focus on what we do best, mixed with play action and we will be looking for tickets to Miami.
Elk Hunting in WY; Bama/TN Game in Knoxville (RTR!!); Whitewater rafting on the Chattooga!
If he was Cooper good, his redshirt would have been gone long ago. He's not.
Burn the shirt. No doubt.
Id play sylve at WR before i hurried black back in there
I think we take a page from Stanford's playbook. Put 8 in the box & we will run it anyway!!!!
The strength of this team is the o-line & we need to just wreck the front of Georgia early & often.
I decided to redshirt my freshman year of baseball even though I could have played/contributed. The coaching staff was 50/50 on it, and basically left it up to me.
Long story short, I'll regret it the rest of my life. Black will never get this year back, and the train could leave the station, so-to-speak.
If he can contribute, and the coaching staff wants him to contribute, I would burn it in a heartbeat.

Great post. It really comes down to how much he could contribute and help the team. We aren't in need of " warm bodies" yet. Still have options. But if the coaching staff felt that he could play a meaningful role in helping the team win a SECCG game and BCS champ, you're darn tootin that Back, or any competitor , would jump at that chance.
Saban raises possibility of return for WR Chris Black: "We may have to revisit whether we redshirt him."
