O.K., admittedly I don't understand a lot about this deer antler spray story, but what would be the worst that could happen to Alabama out of this. That's really the bottom line to me and probably most Bama fans. I realize at this point nobody really knows, but I was wondering if any of you had any ideas.
Since it has been discussed and maybe you don't have the time to view all the threads, I will try to recap a couple of the points that have been made. Unless there is a failed drug test then nothing would happen i.e. no proof that anyone actually took the banned substance and from what i have read the banned substance is only going to enter the body through a needle not from spraying under your tongue. Secondly if the guy is giving this stuff for free to every tom dick and harry(AL,AU, LSU) then it would not be considered impermissible benefits. Now this is from BOL discussion not a press release from UA compliance so grade of saw. No different than receiving free products at any outlet. This is not a case of someone working exclusively with AL football. There have been two C and D letters from the UNiversity so they are aware of the company.
Nothing will happen to anyone this guy has attempted to assiciate with. The NCAA is well aware of these guys and several programs around the SEC/NCAA have told these fools to beat it. These guys have more to worry about than Bama or any other program. They could be looking at lawsuits. As for their business venture, it is officially dead. They are trying to keep it alive and justify it as legal and ethcal while also taking credit for every CFB championship the past 4 years and Ray Lewis' comeback from a torn tricep. No-one is buying it and they are done as a "business". This was alst gasp effort to save it but it backfired.
Thanks for the clarification.
Now all that is left is that the hack job journalist at Bleacher Report (not all of them are hacks), get to stoke internet rumors and message board gossip, claiming Bama cheated its way to all national titles. The haters are gonna hate and throw this around. May come back from middle-east just to shoot these SWAT guys myself, LOL. Roll Tide.
Geez, we need an "official SWATS thread".
