I know he wants to play RB, and i think Yeldon has proved taller RBs can make it in the SEC. I am almost 100% sure he will play RB at the next level (yes i know many out there are still saying different). These are for the staff and whoever..BUT my questions are...
1. Where do you see Henry stacking up against Drake/Hart/Fowler/Jones/Tenpenny. We all know Yeldon will be #1 if Lacy goes Pro, but given the advantage of being an EE does Henry start the next season as #2/#3/#4 RB?
2. Will Fowler be put back into the FB/H-back position? Will this position be best for Henry as well?
3. I dont know how you keep Henry off the field. Could we see him in a wildcat position? (he was in it ALOT in HS)
4. Could we be looking at Fowler and Henry in the backfield as FB/RB on short yardage situations?
I know these are hard to answer but would like some opinions on where he might stack up on the depth chart
1-Yeldon, 2-Henry, 3 Fowler, 4 Drake, and 5 Jones Red Shirt Kamara, I got a feeling that Hart may take more than just the off season to get things right with his knee, and mentally to trust it, and I think by the end of the year the 1,2,3 will be Yeldon, Henry and Drake

Assuming that Lacy leaves for the NFL, Yeldon will be the lead TB going into the Spring. This will be followed by 2) Drake, 3) Fowler and 4) Henry. Of course, if Fowler is not ready, just move Henry up.
In the Fall, the order will shake out something like this, based on groupings:
GROUP A: 1) Yeldon 2) Drake 3) Tenpenny --- Pure RBs
GROUP B: 1) Fowler 2) Henry 3) Callaway --- Power backs and H-Back roles
GROUP C: 1) Hart 2) Jones 3) Kamara --- All-Purpose Backs w/ special pkgs & threats that must be accounted for
Callaway and Sims need to really step it up this Spring. There is a tremendous opportunity there for them to contribute significantly for ALABAMA. If they commit to the things needed to improve and gain the trust of the staff, the offense becomes dangerous and multi-dimensional.
Hart and Fowler must overcome significant injuries. But, if they do, there will be a role for each.
The true freshman will play in various situations and based upon their ability to demonstrate that they can be trusted to block and secure the football. I do believe that Coach Saban is looking to play everyone of those RBs.
When Drake corrects whatever issues the Coaches have with blocking, ball security and maturity, he will be the BEST RB homerun threat on the team.
Tenpenny will be the next Richardson and Lacy type of RB.
Tyren Jones will be the most electrifying RB in the mold of an Ingram with much more speed and elusiveness. When he hits the hole, he already knows where to cut and avoid tacklers on the next 2 levels.
Hart will be a change of pace RB, PR/KR and dagger to opposing teams on third downs.
WILDCARD: Alvin Kamara will be the RB that the team needs B.Sims to be. Kamara will allow B. Sims to be a full-time QB. You line him up in the slot, motion him into the backfield and place him in the Wildcat formation.

Honestly, I don't see how any of the freshmen will pass Drake, unless Kenyan gets hurt somewhere along the way. Being an EE will definitely help Derrick, but Kenyan has the advantage of already going through an entire season, including actual game reps. The upcoming bowl preparation sessions should really allow KD to continue his development.
Wow, a downvote for giving my opinion on the depth chart. Gosh, you gotta love some of these fans on this board.
Henry has the advantage of being a grown ass manbeast.
Ill go with guys on campus in the system before kids that havent even sniffed college.
Yeldon, Fowler, Drake,---etc
Fowler has multiple roles so he will be on the field
Assuming Fowler makes a full recovery, that is the way that I see the depth chart for the first three next year. Nudie was having a great year carrying the ball before he went down. As long as he's good to go, I think he'll be the number two RB, although a third and fourth back could get significant carries since Fowler will probably play some FB/HB too.

I see no way Henry passes drake or fowler on depth chart in year one
Hate to say it but with the style of running the ball, there are bound to be injuries. The starting 5 for VaTech won't be the same in the Bowl game.
Tyren Jones however is very much like Mark Ingram.
Given me Tyren Jones and Alvin Kamara......all day...everyday.
JMO but DH could end up being better than Vernon Davis if he chose to go that route. For the money and longevity in the NFL he would fair very well.
got you covered.
