On the big pass play to Kenny Bell... Cooper was right there in position to block the only defender that kept Bell from scoring. Nothing against Coop - He may not have even seen the guy, but it sure looked like he did and just didn't think to block the guy. If Coop blocks him, Bell walks in. Crazy how close we came.
Coop's a phenomenal player, and I'm sure he'll learn from mistakes like that. It is crazy how many little things could've made the difference for us.
Im sure he didnt wanna risk a block in the back
Right after Bell went down, you see Coop grabbing his helmet. He knew right then all he had to was slide over just a bit to run interference. That play didn't lose it though.
Almost looked like he thought about going for the catch and pulled off at the last second. If that ball is placed a little further, the unblocked player is a non factor.
I saw this and rewatched it. He couldn't have blocked that guy. He would have interfered with the catch if he'd got in position to block. No chnce after the catch.
Although I do see that if bell wasn't there coop would have caught it for an easy 6. His guy was toast.
