or did anyone else notice in the first quarter. with lsu driving, they had a play to the near sideline and was clearly short of first down marker by two feet the chain gang came out to measure and never stretched the chain completely out. I mean the chain was laying on grass and wasn't even straight, the ref then signaled first down, has anyone ever seen this, just wondering SIAP
24hr rule is up... : )
I saw it too. Lots of questionable officiating Saturday.
The offensive PI looked pretty ridiculous to me.
Several questionable... Haters are everywhere.
LSU is becoming the New Tenn in my hate department.
Suck it LSU!!

Burn baby burn. & Go to hell tennessee
The offensive PI was the worst I think I've ever seen.
I don't remember that one, I'll check out when I rewatch the game.
What I did notice thought was the refs bringing out the chains when i was completely unecessary on spots that usually favored LSU. Sorry to sound so conspiratorial but it seemed like they were doing it to give the crowd something to cheer for and get into the game. For example, there was twice that LSU clearly got the first down, but they brought out the chains so the crowd could get that moment. Another happened when Bama was clearly short by almost a yard but they brought the chains out anyway so they could show that the LSU stopped them. I don't know, maybe I'm just being weird.
Concur--worse than the non-PI call on corndogs against Norwood right before TJ scored--they got two key PI calls along with everything else we did for them (fumbles, etc)
Definitely ticky-tack. Shoving was going both ways and dude had him in an arm bar all the way down the field. If that's offensive PI you could call it on every long pass.
Props to you for calling it the chain. Most people says "chains" when there is only one chain.
I definitely noticed this happening. They actually did it twice that I saw, and the second time was a wide angle view and easier to see (as opposed to the close up of the one that you are referring to)..... but can't remember when the second time occurred. Im not usually a conspiracy theorist, but this was pretty odd to say the least.
lets not forget TJ got tackled closer to the bleachers than the field on that one play and no personal foul...
Yeah. I have never seen that not called.
I saw and told people with us watching. "He didnt stretch the chain". I thought i was correct on that. Glad someone else noticed also. Maybe refs are scared of those crazy cajuns!!!
