Anyone else having problems ordering the game? They say they ate having technical difficulties and can't guarantee the game will be available.
See RollingTide2004's post in the thread "DirecTV ppv cost. He explains it well and has a link. Won't be available to orer until about 30-45 minutes before kickoff. Their customer service people are clueless.
TRADITION IS THE FOUNDATION GREAT PROGRAMS ARE BUILT UPON.
They told me it was blacked out unless the stadium sold out.
I just got off the phone with dtv and their response was that they are having trouble with both ppv games in alabama today and they may or may not be available today. The other game is the South Alabama game......
I'm not doubting they told you this, but it seems very dumb IMO. I seriously doubt they are in contact with someone at the university over the course of the morning to find out if the game is sold out. I think Bama has sold out every home game since 1988 and I doubt today is no different. Officially, it probably was sold out 1-2 weeks ago.
The Uverse event is 50 bucks. Good grief.
Directv customer service is an absolute joke. Just spoke with them and they said it will be available to order between 3 and 4pm Eastern. Good luck
I ordered mine hours ago but I am in Colorado, maybe it is just problems in the state?
I just successfully ordered it on channel 786-1 by going to channel info.
All good in Tennessee. RTR
ULM game in 2007 wasn't sold out, so they announced early in the week that it wouldn't be offered. I know because I bought tickets that Monday. My dad and I have watched 87 straight Bama games side by side. This BETTER not end today! I think web will be ok
Keep on them and ask to be transfered to someone who is expert on the situation.I had four customer service reps tell four different things last night before I finally got he game ordered. The first one told me the game was not available. The next one tried to tell me i had to call an hour before kickoff. Since I live in nashville I ordering gameplan the third rep told me I had to get the whole season and could not just order it for a day. Finally the fourth one knew what he was talking about and I got it ordered for just today.
I had trouble with them a few years ago with a Bama pay-per-view game. I wanted to buy and record the game a day in advance for my dad who was going to be out of town. Finally talked to someone high up enough, told them my problem with their customer service and they gave us 6 mo of HBO free (in addition to the game).
Moral of this story---annoy them until they give you what you want.
Just ordered it f from the website. Looks like all is good now. I'm in Alabama.
Are you in Alabama. I couldn't it yet, but that's the channel I plan on using.
Thank you! I was starting to get nervous.
Don’t give up at halftime. Concentrate on winning the second half.—Alabama Coach Bear Bryant
We got it too

(I have posted this in two other related threads)
Guys, I ordered late last night (in Alabama) without problem. Here's what you do:
From your remote, press Menu
- Search & Browse
- Smart Search
- using their virtual keyboard, start typing in Alabama until a list of programs pops up
- go over to the list and go down it until you find the one for the game, click on it
- first option on the left will be to buy the game, click it and continue to follow the prompts
I just checked and it says I'm scheduled for the game. Easy as can be. Unless, of course, they do run into a problem with the actual broadcast.
without question, I would be at a bar. firstrowsports.eu works well too, considering the price.
