According to Volquest.
Just saw that tweet. Could get interesting in the SEC
They got the jump on the barn.
As long as Kirby doesn't go there I am ok with UT letting Dooley go.

Realistic candidates that would probably express interest in the job. In no particular order:
Come to think of it, these names will probably be the short list for UT, AU, UK, and UArk. Who am I leaving off? I always did it interesting to see who comes out of the woodwork (like Dooley did) and who is interested but currently has a job somewhere else (like the Jimbo to AU rumors). Add to the list any realistic candidates you know or think of.
Patterson to Ark makes sense. Could still heavily recruit Texas.
That game yesterday may have opened up Patterson's eyes to the fact that TCU will have a tough road ahead in the Big 12.
I want sal back.
we may very well get him back
I honestly think all those schools, save Arky, should go for Petrino. There really is no reason not to. You are already in the cellar, with little promise for next year. You get a guy like BP, cheap and on a short leash, and let him do his thing. I'm sure you can put in his contract he can be terminated for just looking at a co-ed wrong, and maybe owe money on his way out the door - and I bet he'd still accept.
He was in over his head at the Falcons, and bolted like a ______. He's not gonna do that again, and you can write it up in his contract if you (UK) fear he may do it. He got caught at Arky and lied, then let the lie snow-ball. I still don't think he should have been fired there, and I imagine they feel that way too. Either way, he's made some mistakes - but is almost guaranteed not to repeat them. Since they are widely known, you can protect yourself with a well written contract and get a good coach on the way.
He's proven he can do a pretty good job with not so great talent. If nothing else, he's a quick fix while you find a big name - that is if you (AU/Tenn) think you can get a big name guy.
I for one don't know why any top coach would want to leave their jobs for one of those two. I don't think either school can offer a guy 3-5+ million to get a top coach, and even if they could, I just can't fathom why a Jimbo Fisher or Bob Stoops type coach would go to those schools - considering what they have going now. On the flip-side, I don't see why those schools would sell the farm for either one of those guys - especially Jimbo (I used Bob Stoops only because he is still a big name guy who at one time was thought to be looking to get out of OU, IIRC).
All this boils down to one thing - one of these schools needs to go scoop Bobby P up quick, before they get in a bidding war for him and drive up the cost on a guy you should be able to get pretty cheap.
