Needs to hurry up and get his blocking down, because there is no doubt he can run.
100% agree. Kid is going to be special.
"You don't always get what you want, but you always get what you deserve"
Runs a lot bigger than he is
Thank you! I was excoriated this week for saying that very same thing. I called it the Shaun Alexander/Gene Stallings charade.
I'm just thinking that it's more than blocking -- CNS is trying to get him to totally buy into the process -- getting him mentally to perform at 100% a 100% of the time!!
Once he adds on muscle and understands the system he will be sick. He has more moves and skill than anyone on the roster imo.
Bobby Humphrey part deaux.
I thought Yeldon hit the line scrimmage faster than anyone I could remember until Drake took it to the house against WKU.
Drake can stop and go better than any RB I've seen at Bama. I'd really like to see how he is in the screen game because his running style seems perfect for open field running.
There are 3 freshmen, on offense, I think we haven't seen a lot of this year (or at all) that are going to be big time players and Drake is definitely number one on that list(Cyrus Jones and Chris Black are the others). The question with Drake will be how many carries does he get if Lacy doesn't go pro next year with the 3 headed monster we've got coming in (especially Henry and Tenpenny who are physical specimens).
You Only Live Once that's the Motto n:??@ YOLO.
Gotta love the Drake!
Nobody argued with you that he is a good runner. People argued with you because you keep saying he should be playing even if he can't block. Nobody is doubting how talented he is running the ball.
really like Drake late in games, there D is wore down and this change of pace makes it even more difficult
Completly agree, the defensive line is so worn down and slow off the ball that by the time they stand up, Drake is already through the line. I think until he can get his blocking down to help protect mccarron he in the perfect scenario. He's very quick, bright future for sure
Frankly I'd like to see him in the same role as Hart and Fowler were early in the year......getting carries when the game is still on the line.
As would I, also like to get him in space with some sweeps or pitches
Not being a smartass... But when has the game ever been on the line?
