When he was a redshirt freshman I was scared every time he got the ball because he seemed to enjoy introducing it to the turf....... Did he fumble this season? I definitely don't remember it being an issue. I'm glad he solved that problem and matured into the complete back that he is today.
I remember telling my friend while out one night, think it was before a UFC fight began actually, to remember Lacy's name. Lacy, when healthy is every bit as good as Ingram and Richardson as a running back (albeit not the super freak that Richardson was as an overall football player). Lacy had better vision than Richardson, as good of balance as Ingram, and was bigger than both (though obviously not as strong as #3). Perfect fit for our offense. Considering he shared carries much more than Ingram or Richardson in their big years and produced almost 1400 yards, thats insane.
Gonna miss the guy and hope a team like the Steelers, Ravens, or maybe the Giants (as Bradshaw isn't all that great as a feature back) will land him. The good thing about losing a guy like Lacy with Saban still the HC is that we replace 1 NFL star with possibly 2 or 3 more coming with the incoming class (and 2 other really good RBs coming back from injury). If Kelly can be at least near Vlachos's level, Arie K stays healthy, and whoever at RT isn't terrible against the speed rush (still have nightmares of Capps and even Mike Johnson at RT, our running game will still be top-3 in the SEC.
All of that plus he wasn't 100% healthy to start the season
I remember the various number of "fans" who said Big Ed had no business starting over Yeldon. And now, they're praising him. Typical bandwagon fans. I understand that he wasn't 100%, but he totally got disrespected by some posters on here. Haha
I have always thought Lacy was very special minus his early problems with fumbleidous. Besides that. like I have stated before without his injuries he would have been a Heisman candidate, consensus All American and unlimited ceiling with his talent. Hope he stays healthy and has a great career in the NFL.
Remember, Eddie walked to the podium on NSD at his announcement planning to commit to Tennessee and changed his mind on the way. Good decision for him and us.
If Lacy would have been healthy all season there is no telling the kind of numbers he would have put up. There would be no doubt about who the best running back in the country is. Jmo

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 2 Cor 10:4
A couple of you have said you would like him drafted by the Ravens. I really doubt that happens with Rice and the rookie, who's name escapes me, young and in the fold.
I'm thinking Cincinatti, GB or maybe even Pittsburgh would be of the most likely to draft him. But, if he does slide late into the 2nd round, somehow, I would say all bets are off.
Gonna miss ole Eddie. What a great running back
Was talking to a friend about this yesterday...I think he'll go down as one of the most under appreciated players we have seen. People were all about Yeldon, and with good reason, but when Eddie got fully healthy he was incredible. Hope he can really show out in the pros.
I think Lacy is the best back that Saban ever had at Bama. He's big, powerful and agile. He's just a great great RB. If he doesn't go in the first round, he will be a steal in the 2nd or 3rd. I think he will have a lot more success in the NFL than Richardson or Ingram.
His last Bama TD couldn't have been any better. A double spin move .

Hope he goes to Green Bay no doubt they need an excellent big back to jump start a running game. Also Bama needs more on the Pack. It used to be a franchise with a lot of former Bama players, but now I don't think they have any to my knowledge.
Circle Button For Life! I will miss the Spin Move!
Hope Eddie can stay healthy and get on a Winning Organization who will Run the Ball.
