Florida really reminds me of the 2008 Bama team. Solid defense and punishing rushing game. Muschamps 1st and 2nd years really resemble Saban's. Driskel is obviously much different than JPW but the other similarities are striking. Kudos to Muschamp for turning it around down there.

I said the exact same thing. They're on the way back.
Said the same thing myself. Good thing, too, b/c we just might need somebody to take care of FSU at the end of the year for us, too.
That's at least 2 Saban disciples who seem to be well on the right track to turning things around at their respective programs.
I agree, there are some similarities. The biggest difference is Muschamps has four years of top tier recruiting classes on this team. Saban was left with some great players but was not left with nearly the caliber of roster that Muschamps inherited.
They are much more physical for sure. They won't get through South Carolina or FSU. But they are a better team for sure.
But I think whats more telling is how bad LSU is. LSU isn't as impressive of a win as it looks on paper. LSU is flat out BAD. Beating Auburn by 2 points should have told us all we need to know. And giving up 22 and only beating Towson by 16 really should have informed us.
IMHO If Florida was really that great, they would have beaten LSU by 3 tds.
Florida won't be able to run the ball 22 straight times like they did tonight.
I mentioned this before the season and got flamed big time. I think WM is going to be a great coach. Much like Saban in 08, he doesn't have the personnel to run his brand of football.
They are definintely physical and are only going to get better.
The price of victory is high, but so are the rewards.
Florida will beat south carolina in the swamp mark it down.
I think the SC game is an interesting matchup but I think Florida will handle FSU and show them what SEC football is
They are overachieving. Pretty good team but not great. We would woodshed them
I said the same exact thing earlier. It's scary how much of an imprint Saban has had on Muschamp and his team.....It's obvious those kids have been working hard in the off season and it shows with their physical play....
TRADITION IS THE FOUNDATION GREAT PROGRAMS ARE BUILT UPON.
