I really am a big fan of Fluker, but it just seems his pass blocking and sometimes run blocking has regressed for some reason. In the game today, the announcer noticed he was getting excited and that he wanted the offense to run to his side. When the play started he totally whiffed on his guy and his guy made the tackle in the backfield. I also saw in the Missou game that he let his guy in the backfield on the play AJ injured his knee. From the various media and team reports, it seems as if he's giving full effort in practice. For his sake, I hope he turns it around b/c he was once considered a top 3 draft pick at the beginning of the year.
No one likes to admit it (don't know why, there's no shame in it) but Fluker will be a Guard in the NFL. Feet simply aren't quick enough but he will be a mauler as a G if ya ask me. I think he would be a G here too if it wasn't a matter of getting our best 5 on the field and lack of better RT backup. Love big Fluker's emotion & effort just think his skill set is more suited for interior line play.
He's definitely having trouble with speed rushers.
See if I can post on this cell while otw home from the UT vs Al game. If I were a defensive cord playing Alabama I would but the quickest lineman I had on big Flukers side and tell him to stay in the backfield all night.
We would have scored 60 tonight if 76 lived up to his hype. Sorry but he is becoming a liability. Not complaining though and happy with the big win.
Slow down.. He grades out well every week. But the speed rush does get him
He does lack the foot speed to defend a quick edge rusher, but what I have been paying attention to on Fluker lately is he is so amped up to get the kill shot block/pancake that he is prone to whiff on a more than a few blocks during the course of a game. I think if he would just focus on fundamentals and only getting good solid blocks he would grade out much higher overall.
Just curious, who is slated to be our next RT when Fluker leaves?
Leon Brown and Arie K. will duke it out if Fluker leaves.
The price of victory is high, but so are the rewards.

I agree he struggles at times, especially against speed rush, but continues to grade out pretty high.
not trying to be argumentative but on the play AJ got hurt i believe it was #34 Sheldon Richardson who beat Steen on that play. i know Fluker got beat on that play as well but he wasnt the only one. Richardson winds up with 12 tackles 3 for loss and a sack. just bothers me that all this NFL talent on the Oline and no one could block this guy. i agree with Tide411 Fluker's foot speed or lack thereof will put him at Guard in the league.
"We're modern-day gladiators, and that mental toughness is really important to have in a good team." Nick Saban
"Hey, hey, hey. A life. A life, Jimmy, you know what that is? It's the shit that happens while you're waiting for moments that never come."
Saban would not have let the team score 60 on DD and Sal. I hope your not serious about fluker being a liability. You will never see anybody that doesn't get beat or miss a block occasionally.
I think most teams around the country would love to have this "liability" starting at right tackle.
he played at least as well as Foster. Foster and the kicking game are our weak spot
