How's the Bama turnout down there? Listening to the media you'd think we don't have 1000 fans down there and ND has 100,000.
I see us everywhere. I think the allure of Miami and South Florida is new enough even if the NC game is not. And think about this. I know there are plenty of rich alumni from ND to fill up the seats but not so many non-alumni that are going to pay the crazy prices for the airlines, hotel, and game tickets to come down. Its a small school only 12000 students. The non-alumni ND people don't take ownership of the team like ours do. All you need to be a crazy Bama fan is to live in Alabama. Not so with them. They will be much more satisfied to watch it on TV. Ticket prices have not reflected the turn out everyone expected but its not because our fans are bored with going to NC games. Its because ND non-alums don't travel.
There seem to be a ton of bandwagon Notre Dame fans though.
Seems to be 10 to 1 ND in FTL.
That's unfortunate. Them having a week head start on buying tickets is probably going to produce a huge crowd advantage.
Also helps that they're over 2 decades from their last title
Our only two losses since 2010 were at home. I sort of hope they do have a crowd advantage.
I see Bama all over the place.
Most of the older ND fans seem a little bothered by the 10 point line and everyone picking bama and say they are going to just enjoy themselves regardless of outcome...a little razzing from younger fans " get ready to ROLL over"but very mild compared to NO last year.
At this point....MUCH heavier in ND's favor. the streets , hotels and bars all seem to be ND people in higher numbers.
We've been out in South Beach, Hollywood Beach, and Fort Lauderdale and it seems Notre Dame does have more fans but not like the media would have you believe. I think they have more who came without tix whereas ours are all here for the game and not the show. They are starved for relevance and a party. We are here but it's just another business trip.
I'd say 60-40 ND. But we here!
(BTW - posting this from the beach where it's 79 with a nice breeze. Jealous? ;)
